Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is irrefutable that society is divided into two groups as per distinct mindset of different people. Therefore, this has become a debatable issue whether historical buildings should be rebuild, even though this can be expensive whether this should be convert into new buildings. This essay will not only throw light on both perspectives but also my own discernment will be elaborated.
To commence with the first notion, there are myriad things to be shared in its favour. First of all, nowadays, teenager are deprived from the historical building, because no one is telling about this thing to children, If town hall and art galleries are rebuild, then they come to know about the old design and learn what their ancestors did in the past to create these kind of buildings. For example, in India, TajMahal, it is historical building, myriad individuals visit over there to see this, even teenagers also come to now about, how a man decided to build this for his lover.
Considering the second argument, these buildings should be replaced into modern or new building. To elaborate, it destruct the old building. on this place, regularity bodies can construct smart schools, gyms, stadiums, unique design malls etcetera. In current scenario, numbers of individuals have keen to go gym, shopping, when children go to smart school they gain more knowledge about technology so that i would be helpful for country development.
According to me, government should restored old building because its the roots of culture or country because people can get knowledge about past .
To conclude, both decisions are good but former one is very significant because of maintaining the culture or tradition of our country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument for restoration focuses primarily on teenagers and historical knowledge, while the argument for replacement relies on a list of facilities like gyms and malls without fully exploring the economic or urban planning implications. The ideas are relevant but lack depth and sophisticated supporting evidence. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' behind your arguments, ensuring that each point is fully explored rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Considering the second argument', and 'To conclude'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as the transition 'Therefore, this has become a debatable issue'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'myriad things' and 'good', and there are several word-choice errors, such as 'regularity bodies' (likely meaning 'regulatory bodies') and 'it destruct the old building'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated collocations and the presence of errors in word formation limit the score. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban development and heritage conservation, and pay closer attention to word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('teenager are deprived', 'it destruct the old building'), incorrect verb forms ('should be rebuild', 'should restored'), and awkward phrasing ('it would be helpful for country development'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt complex sentences, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents a higher score. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage to improve accuracy.
