IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people believe that old buildings, such as town halls and art galleries, should be restored, even though this can be costly. Others argue that governments should replace them with new, modern buildings.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 4.5)

First reason behind this trend is, companies want to boost their economy. To more elaborate this sentence, advertisements can help businesses to increase their sales in the market. For an example, any well known clothing brand always try to brings new colours and new styles in the shop, so they can promote them and get attention of their buyers. Secondly, it helps firms to be in the market competitions. As much as their sales are increasing and novel things coming in their stores, they can stay in the market limelight for the competition.

According to me, this is not a positive thing for the organisation. This can be a big risk for the businesses. As to take some unique things in the market, some companies invest too much money and the risk is always be there. Further more, if the feedback from their consumers is not coming good enough, it can put their business under low rating. It can put a negative impact on their future.

In conclusion, no doubt that innovation of new items can give a lot of benefits to the organisation but it can be risky for the future at if it dose not work well.
