Student answer (Band 6.0)
On the one hand, citizens who considered history to be a important part of their religion, and believe in the values it carries for the culture and religion vote for the notion of restoring the old structures such as city halls and Art galleries. they believe these buildings will be a point of remembrance and teaching of the future generation, at the time, holds the culture together and carry it forward to their children Moreover, the art carved in these structures shows people, how humans lived and developed, as well as what value they carried and help in understanding their daily life's.
On the other hands, people who believe that history is not a part of advancement and holds no real value, argue that these structure should be replace we new and modern buildings, for better use of space. Because, mainly citizens, technology can store these arts and culture in data online, as it is a forgotten part of the human life. Moreover, old buildings create health and safety related issue for the user and locals.
In my opinion, History is very important factor of human life and should be held in its very true form, the cities can developed to the outsides, so that humans can also remember their existence, culture, norms and values, as History and art speaks and shows us the nature, culture, development and survival of human life. For instance, existence of my religions art help me become a part of my culture and society.
In conclusion, life experiences divided people into two groups, one's notions to restore old structures and other's to replace them, but I stand with first notion cause these halls and galleries hold the history and future of human life. As long as exist, people will remember the survival, sacrifice and advancement of human life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the 'health and safety' issues of old buildings is mentioned but not fully explored. The discussion on religion is slightly repetitive and could have been more focused on the broader cultural significance of architecture. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples, relying instead on general statements. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete illustrations of how restoration benefits a community beyond personal religious sentiment.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'at the time, holds the culture together' and 'one's notions to restore'. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the transition between the first and second paragraphs could be smoother. While the overall structure is coherent, the internal flow within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors and imprecise linking phrases, which prevents the essay from achieving a higher score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'religion' being used where 'heritage' or 'tradition' would be more appropriate, and 'developed to the outsides' which is non-standard phrasing. Additionally, there are minor errors in word form, such as 'life's' instead of 'lives'. While the meaning is clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and the reliance on basic descriptors prevents a more sophisticated discussion of the topic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'citizens who considered... and believe'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'should be replace we new'), and punctuation errors. The use of articles and prepositions is also inconsistent throughout the text. While the errors do not completely obscure the meaning, their frequency is high enough to suggest a lack of control over complex structures, which is a key requirement for higher band scores.
