Student answer (Band 6.0)
Evolution is an important part of generational change. Some people ponder that historic buildings, such as town halls and art galleries, should be renovated, regardless of expenses, While others believe that governments should build modern building by demolishing older ones. I personally believe that old buildings should be restored to preserve its cultural and traditional values. However, sometimes it can be a good opportunity to convert old buildings into modern ones to creates tourist attraction.
In the first place, one major reason for the restoration of old historical buildings is to preserve its cultural and traditional values. To illustrate it, as years passes vintage old architects lose its structural strength and its integrity. Those buildings are essential part of particular place or location where it is situated, in order to carry forward historical information regarding that place to next generations. For that reason, those buildings should be restored as a historic memory for future references. For illustration, many Art galleries in Bihar, still alive through restoration process regardless of the money that had been spent for that process.
On the other hand, creating a whole new architects by demolishing old structures governments can promote tourism from newly developed structures. To elaborate, the government can build high-tech infrastructure to boost economy of the nation. For instance, In the USA, there are many science museums that were constructed to attract students and science enthusiasts by replacing historic forts.
To summarize the above narratives, although, new modern buildings could assist with boosting tourism for the nation but restoring old buildings can preserve historical integrity of particular location which pass on its cultural story to future generations and I personally favors it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. The ideas are relevant, such as the importance of cultural preservation versus economic development through tourism. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the USA replacing forts with science museums is a bit underdeveloped and lacks a strong link to the broader debate about the cost-benefit analysis of restoration versus replacement. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your examples with more detailed explanations of why one approach is superior to the other in specific contexts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'In the first place', 'On the other hand', and 'To summarize' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing. For example, in the second paragraph, you use 'its' to refer to 'buildings' (plural), which creates a grammatical mismatch. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns consistently match their antecedents would enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'restoration', 'demolishing', and 'infrastructure'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations. For example, you use 'vintage old architects' when you mean 'architecture', and 'creates tourist attraction' should be 'create tourist attractions'. Additionally, 'many Art galleries in Bihar, still alive' is an unnatural way to describe buildings. To improve, focus on using nouns and adjectives correctly and expanding your range of topic-specific collocations to express ideas with more precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'as years passes', 'buildings... its cultural'), incorrect pluralization, and missing articles. For instance, 'creating a whole new architects' is grammatically incorrect; it should be 'creating whole new architectural structures'. While you attempt complex sentences, the control over them is inconsistent. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
