Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is thought by many individuals that government should maintain the historical buildings although how much money send on it. On the other hand, others deem that authorities should make new building instead. I will discuss both the view points bit In the favour of former view.
To commence with, there are many supporting points are available in the support of former view the first and foremost is that if government preserve the old building like museums, art galleries ; as a result, government can save our history because the old building are the sources of tourist interaction as people will visit there and not only get information about the history but also they will attached with their own native roots. Similarly, Owing to this , the economy will boost because if more tourist came to explore the buildings because masses will spend money while visiting there. For example, when a country get tourism they get more profit because tourist contribute 50 percent in economy of the nation. Likewise, by having the old buildings, nation will get identification . To elaborate it, like any cities how have old monuments they get name and fame on the behalf of the building instead of its real name.
Despite having numerous benefits of the first view point some arguments can also be mentioned in the support of later view like if renovation of old buildings are cost effective as it will disturb the budget of the authority as well as it will put huge pressure on the shoulders of law makers. Apart from this , government can also be spend this money other sectors like schools , hospitals, and on the transportation which will provide the good identification to the country over the other nations. Moreover, by making new design monuments , Government do not need to worry about the safety of the history because the modern building have more advanced features to preserve old things.
In conclusion, although having some advantages of the later view but by doing renovation , country can not only get name and fame but also they can attach people with their native roots.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic benefits of tourism for restoration and the budgetary concerns for new construction. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive, and the supporting examples, such as the claim that 'tourist contribute 50 percent in economy', lack precision and logical grounding. To reach a higher band, the arguments need to be more nuanced and supported by more realistic evidence rather than over-generalized statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Similarly', and 'In conclusion', though some are used mechanically or incorrectly, such as 'bit In the favour of former view'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing is occasionally awkward, which makes the flow feel slightly disjointed at times. Improving the variety and naturalness of linking words would help the essay achieve a more sophisticated level of cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic terms like 'buildings', 'government', and 'view'. Some word choices are unnatural or inaccurate, such as 'get name and fame' or 'attach people with their native roots'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated collocations and the reliance on simple phrasing limit the score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more academic and topic-specific terminology would significantly improve your performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('government should maintain', 'old building are'), article usage ('the government', 'a country'), and awkward phrasing ('how much money send on it'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around semicolons and commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to suggest a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for common errors would be beneficial.
