Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays people like to keep antique things and also love to explore some interesting places. Some people said that we should restored the old heritages even though its costly. where others argue that government should make some modern appartments. I personally believe that both ideas are constructive and formative.
Firstly, if peolpe restored old buildings, it should be a great idea. Moreover, our future generation can see and feel it how our past few decades. But it has drawback too. It is going to be very expensive for the government and time consuming. Furthermore, all thr duties are accumulated from middle class people and this is not fair.
secondly, other people give suggetion to make modern buildings. This convept also has theirown pros and cons. Moreover, the good point is that our city or state would be look awesome and attractive for the foreigners and locals. Additionally, abundantly used modern technilogy can see the future generation. However, people do not like to clean place in our country. Down fort whole municipality.
To sum up, both point of views are having legal points but we have to take middle way. If we think and we combine both thins and generate a modern with vintage buildings which can we restored.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views—restoring old buildings versus replacing them with modern ones—and provides a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and restricted by the overall length of the text. Crucially, the response contains only 208 words, which falls significantly short of the mandatory 250-word minimum specified for Task 2. This under-length impacts the depth of extension for the arguments presented, such as the points regarding cost and tourism. Consequently, while the prompt is partially addressed, the restricted length and underdeveloped support limit the overall task achievement score to a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four distinct paragraphs, showing an attempt at logical organisation with introductory and concluding remarks. However, the overall progression is disrupted by abrupt shifts and unclear referencing. Cohesive devices are frequently used inaccurately or mechanically, as seen with transitional phrases like 'Moreover' and 'Additionally' which do not always connect ideas logically. Furthermore, sentences such as 'Down fort whole municipality' lack clear cohesion and referencing, making the logical flow difficult to follow at times. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires better control, resulting in a Band 5.0 for this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, demonstrating a limited range that is barely adequate for the task. There are several noticeable word choice and spelling errors throughout the response, such as 'restored' instead of 'restore', 'appartments' instead of 'apartments', 'peolpe', 'thr', 'suggetion', 'convept', and 'technilogy'. These errors and spelling mistakes occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. While the student attempts to use some less common phrases like 'formative' and 'accumulated', awkward collocations and inaccuracies limit the overall lexical score to a Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in tense usage, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure, such as 'we should restored the old heritages even though its costly', 'it should be a great idea', and 'both point of views are having legal points'. Additionally, sentence boundaries are sometimes blurred, leading to ungrammatical fragments like 'Down fort whole municipality.' These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader, placing the performance firmly at a Band 5.0 for grammatical range and accuracy.
