Student answer (Band 4.5)

some people think that government replace the old building especially in country side. They build new house for village Government take the cost and buy the new place for building.

Actually, Some people ideas government should be restored different places like restaurants, small coffee shops. Then they build the new house but they take high amounts for new building. Some people can't leave your area because they adjust many years ago in this area. In countryside people have more places for growing the crops and there have more tress .There have also more animalfarms. This government ideas is not best because they can't handle easily. It is posiible in this situation when government build new house and new farm for their people then restore their house or places.

On Other hand, some people are not agree this government requirements because it is not easy for different people. They says that government have dont take proce from poor people. There animals and trees are destroy in this situation. Government buy place in city area for those people.when government make new building in city area. Then more facilities are available there. Market , hospital, and school are near in their home.So they feel comfortable and good.

In conclusion, My opinion is that Government could not force the village people it is very difficult to leave your area.Because they live many year ago. They also live with family. But I think Government take more facilities to poor village people such as, new house, transport system.and different luxury. They have not also take children school fees. They gave education free.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to discuss both views and gives a personal position: it mentions restoring existing places and also describes replacing them with new housing and facilities. The conclusion makes your preference clearer, arguing that villagers should not be forced to leave and should receive support. However, the discussion does not consistently address the actual question about preserving old buildings such as town halls and galleries. Much of the response shifts to relocating rural residents, farms, and homes, so the central arguments about heritage, cost, and modern construction remain unclear or only minimally developed. To strengthen the response, explain why restoration matters and why replacement may be preferable, then support each view with a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs and to signal contrast with phrases such as “On Other hand” and “In conclusion.” These markers help the reader recognise a change of viewpoint and the ending. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear, coherent progression: the opening introduces replacing village buildings, the next paragraph shifts to restoration and relocation, and the following paragraph returns to new buildings and city facilities. Connections between these points are often unclear, and references such as “they” and “this situation” do not always identify who or what is meant. Plan one paragraph for each view, followed by a conclusion, and use clear links between each claim and its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses basic vocabulary relevant to buildings and community life, including “restore,” “new building,” “facilities,” “crops,” and “education free.” Some wording communicates the general topic, but vocabulary is repetitive and several choices are inaccurate or unclear, such as “take the cost,” “government requirements,” and “different luxury.” Spelling and word-form problems, including “posiible,” “tress,” and “animalfarms,” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise range for discussing the task itself: heritage, preservation, renovation costs, demolition, and modern facilities would help express the two sides directly. Check collocations and spelling, and choose words that accurately describe old public buildings rather than shifting to unrelated housing terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “Some people can't leave your area because they adjust many years ago in this area.” However, sentence structures are very limited, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “government replace,” “they says,” “government have dont take,” and “They gave education free.” Several sentences also join ideas without clear grammatical links, while capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, especially subject–verb agreement and past versus present forms, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “although.”
