Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you explain your interest through your “passion and profession,” ask about the group’s meeting time and location, and enquire about experience and equipment. The purpose is clear, and the polite opening and closing suit an enquiry email. However, some details are less fully addressed: you ask for the “starting date” rather than clearly asking when the group meets, and the reason for joining could be developed with a specific goal or example. The response is also five words below the required minimum, so it misses the length instruction. Adding a little detail about what you hope to learn and asking directly about regular meeting days and times would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The email has a clear overall progression: introduction, explanation of interest, questions about meetings, questions about joining requirements, and a courteous closing. Paragraph breaks help the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “I am particularly interested” and “Finally” signal the purpose of each section. The sequence is logical, though some links between ideas are basic, and the questions could be grouped and expressed more smoothly. For example, the transition from your professional background to the request for meeting details is abrupt. Continue using this clear paragraph structure, while connecting related information more naturally and ensuring punctuation separates sentences and questions clearly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “photography,” “professional artist,” “enhance my skills,” and “natural moment.” These choices communicate your interest and give the email a suitably polite tone. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the language less natural, such as “concern in joining,” “have get together,” “enthusiam,” and “camer.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “starting date” does not clearly ask about regular meeting times. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. Using expressions such as “keen to join,” “meet up,” and “camera” would make your questions clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple sentences and more complex polite forms, including “I would be grateful if…” and “I would like to know…”. The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make the questions difficult to follow. For example, “I move to Brookfield recently” needs a present-perfect form, while “if could provide me” is missing its subject. The question “I would like to know is there…” also needs indirect-question word order. There are further issues with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “joining photography group” and the run-on punctuation around “location, where.” Practise accurate indirect questions and review articles, verb forms, and punctuation while retaining your polite structures.
