Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often argued that it is the onus of government to make choices in different sectors such as jobs, business, and pollution.A debate over the topic of whether economic stability and clean environment can be maintained at same time or not.I am personally withthe side of former view.

On the one hand, some people believe that the emergence of econmoic growth is harmful for environment .This is because when industies and factories operates on a large scale,it releases waste into oceans ,which spread in the form of air and water adds to oceans, lakes. This led to pollute not only water but also air pollution. As a result, whole community offers along with ecosytem.

On the other hand, those who disagrred with the view that it is impossible to make a country best by managing ecoomic stability and clean environment at one time. This advancement can made possible when companys adopt sustainable lifestyle in order to manufacture products such as by using wind and solar eneregy which emiites less radiations and use less fossil and natural resources.Hence, country's peace and econimc conditions protects.

In my viewpoint,I think it is the responsibility of government as well to promote helathy mix of businesses and take care of surroundings.Government can ensure whether company's are using natural way to mnaufacturing products or relasing harmful gases that creates environment polluted.

To sum up,although companies provide mutliple opportunities to people by creating such jobs, the importance of creating a clean and economically strong nation cannot be denied.I personally believe this can only possible if government impose some rules and regulations on to companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the discussion and state your position: you support the view that economic stability and environmental protection can coexist. The contrast between pollution from large-scale industry and cleaner production using wind and solar energy is relevant to the question. However, the two views are not developed equally clearly. The first body paragraph explains how factories cause pollution, but does not fully explain why this leads some people to believe economic growth and environmental protection cannot be maintained together. Your proposed solution is also quite general; for example, you could explain how regulation or investment in clean technology protects jobs while reducing emissions. The conclusion restates your view, but the argument would be stronger with a specific example and fuller explanation of the consequences.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your own position, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the discussion, and the main ideas are generally presented in a logical order. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger progression. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes unclear or mechanical. For instance, “This led to pollute not only water but also air pollution” does not clearly connect the cause and effects, while “As a result, whole community offers along with ecosystem” is difficult to interpret. Use clearer reference and transitions between claims, and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “economic stability,” “sustainable,” “fossil resources,” and “harmful gases,” and some less common expressions such as “the onus of government.” This gives you a basis for discussing the topic, but control is inconsistent and errors sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “econmoic,” “industies,” “disagrred,” and “eneregy,” as well as inaccurate combinations such as “healthy mix of businesses” and “peace and economic conditions.” Some words are also repeated, particularly “government,” “companies,” and “environment.” Aim to use fewer ambitious phrases unless you are confident they fit, check spelling carefully, and learn natural collocations such as “economic growth,” “environmental protection,” and “impose regulations on businesses.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a conditional structure with “when companies adopt.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled, and grammatical errors occur across the response. The opening contains a sentence fragment: “A debate over the topic of whether…”; it needs a main clause. Other examples include “factories operates,” “it releases,” and “This advancement can made possible,” which show problems with agreement and verb forms. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “at same time” and the comma splice in “In my viewpoint, I think…”. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for articles and punctuation.
