Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the pie charts, identifying the primary activities in 1958 and 2008. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention the increase in work time and the decrease in social time, the comparisons lack precision. The phrase 'very less time' is imprecise, and the description of the data is occasionally confusing, such as stating 'time spent behind their work is the highest in the both the year'. To reach a higher band, ensure you clearly contrast the data points and provide a more comprehensive overview of the trends, rather than just listing percentages.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Overall', 'To begin with', and 'Furthermore'. However, the flow is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, 'Followed by, time spent over sleep is 32%...' is grammatically disjointed. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track which year or activity is being compared. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic phrases like 'spent time over' and 'time spent behind'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'grown ups' instead of 'adults', 'hangout' used as a noun in this context, and 'compair' (spelling error). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of range and the presence of errors in collocation and spelling prevent a higher score. To improve, try to incorporate more precise verbs and nouns related to data description, such as 'allocated', 'accounted for', or 'experienced a decline'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('people... loves to spent'), incorrect preposition usage ('time over the sleeping'), and article misuse ('in the both the year'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs are correctly conjugated and that prepositions are used accurately with time-related nouns.
