Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully develop the task. While you have identified some key features, such as the increase in working hours and the rise in travel time, the analysis is superficial. You have not provided a clear overview of the major trends, and some data points are presented in a confusing manner, such as the claim that 'dating with kinship' dropped. The response is too brief to adequately compare the two years, leading to a failure to address all parts of the task effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into three short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Overall' and 'Moreover', their usage is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as using 'Moreover' to introduce a point that contradicts the previous sentence's logic. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between 1958 and 2008. The lack of sufficient length prevents the development of a logical flow, resulting in a fragmented structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'part' and 'increase' throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'dating with kinship' and 'spending on working in various activities', which are unnatural in this context. To improve, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'accounted for'. The current range is just enough to convey basic meaning but lacks the precision required for a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the clarity of your writing. For example, 'The charts below shows' (subject-verb agreement error) and 'the working part was increase by 42%' (incorrect verb form). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'in 1958 traveling to work had the smallest percentage only for 2%, which increase to 7%'. Punctuation is generally functional, but the overall control of grammar is weak, with errors occurring in almost every sentence.
