Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers the main features of the pie charts, but the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you identify key trends, such as the increase in working hours and the decrease in sleep, the report lacks precise data integration. For instance, you mention '32% and 33%' for 1958 but do not clearly link these to specific categories, and you fail to provide sufficient comparative data for 2008. The inclusion of subjective commentary, such as 'jobholders manage their time very efficiently,' is inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report, which requires an objective summary of the data provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by poor sentence structure and punctuation. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or incorrect, such as starting a sentence with 'in stark contrast to year 2008' without a proper subject or verb. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between ideas is disjointed. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that you use transition words like 'however,' 'furthermore,' or 'conversely' more naturally to connect your observations.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several spelling errors, such as 'represenation,' 'centurry,' 'constarst,' 'sepnd,' and 'relavation.' While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'lion's share' and 'proportion,' the overall range is restricted. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'time span' and 'shoking relavation,' which are not appropriate for a formal report. Focusing on accurate spelling and using more precise, academic terminology will significantly improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'There are two pie chart'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'jobholders manage'), and missing articles. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often marred by punctuation errors or fragments, such as 'With 32% and 33% while least amount of time was taken for traveling to job place.' You need to work on basic sentence construction and ensure that your verb tenses are consistent when describing past data.
