The pie charts below show how working adults in a particular country spent their time in 1958 and 2008.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie charts illustrates comparison between, how working adults in a particular country spent their time in 1958 and 2008.

Overall, in both the years working adults spent their most of the time working followed by sleeping. However the time spent for going out with friends and family reduced in 2008 compared to 1958.

In 1958, though working adults spent 33% percent of their time working, they spent 33% sleeping and 19% going out with friends or family. Only 8 % of time they spent relaxing at home and approximately 6% on playing sport. They spent their 2% of time for traveling to work.

However, in 2008, this figures changed considerably. Time spent on working became 42% and time spend relaxing at home become 13%. Time spent on going out with friends and family and playing sports reduced to 6% and 7% respectively. Meanwhile they spend their 28% of their time sleeping and 13% relaxing at home.
