The pie charts below show how working adults in a particular country spent their time in 1958 and 2008.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

This pie chart illustrates that the comparison between the period of 1958 and 2008 humans spent their time in a particular country.

Its quite evident from the pie chart that, in the period of 1958 most of the time was spent on working. For example, they went to offices or they do work from home for the office , so plenty of the time is spent on working. Along this, travelling to work took a very minimum time of almost 2% of the total. Adults spend their 32% of the total time in slepping also. After working a lot of time they also need some rest to relax their body, which is more essential for their health. People in 1958 also go to the picnic with friend or with their family to enjoy and to make their mind fresh. Sometimes, they relax at the home for a short period of time of almost 8%.

Meanwhile, in 2008 42% of the rime is covered with the working and it is the big change as compared to 1958. Afterthat, sleeping took the 25% of the total time. Beside this, relaxing at home is fluctuated which is increased

from 8% to 13%. While, spending time in their hobby like playing sports is same as going out with family or friends. Travelling to work took the smallest period of time as compared to others of almost 7% which is more than as compared to 1958.

To conclude this, the above explanation shows that their is almost a minor change in the spending of time in 1958 and 2008.
