Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main pattern that working takes the largest share in both years and report several key changes, including the rise in work from 33% to 42%, the fall in sleep from 32% to 25%, and the decline in socialising from 19% to 6%. This gives the response a relevant overview and generally accurate comparisons. However, the overview says sleeping ranked second in both years, which is not true in 2008: relaxing at home (13%) exceeds sleeping (25%)? Actually sleeping remains second, so this is accurate; the more important omission is that sports appears only in 2008, while you incorrectly assign 7% to sports in 1958. The claim that travelling had the least share applies only to 1958, not 2008, when it tied with sports. Clarifying these points and making the overview more precise would strengthen coverage.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear four-part structure: introduction, overview, and separate descriptions of the two years. This makes the information easy to follow, and contrasts such as “On the other hand” help signal changes. You also group several figures within each year rather than listing every value in isolation. Some links, however, are mechanical or confusing: repeated sentence openings with “While” and “Although” do not always connect the ideas grammatically, and “However, There have been few changes happened” is unclear. The overview also says there were few changes, despite substantial shifts in work and socialising. Use more direct comparisons across years and ensure each linking phrase expresses the relationship intended.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing proportions and change, including “proportion,” “decline,” “rose,” and “decreased.” These choices show an attempt to vary language beyond repeating “percentage.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “working sector,” “second most needed activity,” “crucial time,” and “sleeping schedule showed decline.” There are also spelling errors in “personnal” and “memebers,” and “spend” is used where the past-tense form is needed. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the main comparisons, but they make the description less precise and fluent. Prefer standard chart language and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “While” and “Although,” and most figures remain understandable. However, some sentence structures are incomplete or awkward: “While sleeping was second most needed activity…” and “Although some adults loved to spent…” are not correctly connected to a main clause. There are also errors in tense and agreement, for example “time spend” and “working adults spend” when describing the past, as well as missing articles in phrases such as “in both the years.” Capitalisation after “However” and “Moreover” is inconsistent. Aim to form complete sentences, maintain past tense consistently, and review articles and punctuation.
