Student answer (Band 5.5)
We have a very busy schedule in everydays life. We need to devide it as per our priority. Though in 1958 and currently in 2008 peoples life have changed in many ways.
We can assume a day as 100%, P[reviously we spend 33% of a whole day in work, that could be anything like office work or any househole or something to maintain regular expenses. At past most of the cases, our offices were nearby from our houses so travel took only 2% time from a day. Then we spend 19% of whole day with our family or friends to maintain social life. at last sleeping is very much important so gave 32% time from a day for sleeping.
Now in 2008, this graph is little bit different from previous. Inflation is too high, to maintain it, people are givinng 42% of the whole day for working. Nowadays offices are not that much nearby from houses and also traffic took most of the time, so its became 7% of a day from 2%. We barely have time to spend time with family which is 6% of the whole day which left impact on social life. For this busy schedule people love to relax at home which increases at 13%. At last we try to give atleast 25% for sleeping.
At last i can say, with the time our life is taking new shape everyday.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You report several key figures accurately, including working rising from 33% to 42%, travel increasing from 2% to 7%, and time with friends and family falling from 19% to 6%. You also cover sleeping and relaxing at home, so the main categories are represented. However, the response lacks a clear, chart-focused overview of the most important changes; the opening and closing comments about busy lives and life changing do not summarise the data. Playing sports, which accounts for 7% in 2008 and is absent in 1958, is omitted. Some explanations, such as inflation causing longer working hours and traffic increasing travel time, are not shown by the charts. A concise overview and a focus on observable comparisons would make the report more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable sequence: an introduction, a paragraph about 1958, one about 2008, and a concluding comment. This gives the reader an overall route through the information, and comparisons such as travel rising from 2% to 7% are easy to follow. However, the organisation is partly driven by a narrative about daily life rather than by the chart’s main patterns. Connectors such as “At last” are repeated and do not always express the intended relationship, while “Now” and “Then” create a conversational tone. The long opening paragraph also contains a stray “P[” that interrupts flow. Grouping the largest increases and decreases together, with a clear overview first, would create more logical progression and smoother cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main categories, including “working,” “sleeping,” “traffic,” and “social life,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “maintain regular expenses.” However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes parts of the report less clear. Examples include “devide it as per our priority,” “in everydays life,” and “this graph is little bit different from previous.” Spelling errors such as “househole” and “givinng” are also noticeable. Prefer precise chart language, for example “the proportion of the day spent working” and “increased,” rather than conversational or explanatory phrasing. More accurate collocations and careful spelling would improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrast with “Though” and a reason clause beginning “so,” and the main figures are generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure and grammatical forms occur across the response. For example, “in 1958 and currently in 2008 peoples life have changed” has an unclear time construction and missing possessive marking, while “so its became 7%” combines forms incorrectly. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent in phrases such as “from our houses” and “for family,” and several sentences run together or use punctuation awkwardly. These problems sometimes make the relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate past-tense comparisons and build shorter, well-punctuated sentences before adding subordinate clauses.
