Student answer (Band 5.5)

We as humans think ambition is important in our lives. So we set goal for ourself and work hard to achive them. Although its is good have aim in your life to succeed

Ambition in our life helps us to stay fouces . It helps to choose what we can become in our life. Goes both ways whem people think positive way they see clear path , mindset is made up and who think ambition negetive way their path is full of doudts , trust issue , nothing work out well.

To set goals for themseleves important it us help to stay on task due to it we work hard to achieve thier goals . It is important makes us feels amazing when we succeed in our life. In all perpective income is good working on higer level.

In my opinion,to be ambition, set goals, work hard to achive it makes important to succeed in our life . Due to succeeding in our life we get respect from others and when we give opinion or suggestion it makes front people to belive us and in their process

So i will conclude,to take ambition positively it helps to feel successful person. I would want to give my personal experience when was I young would love to take part in workshop orginazition that time I was not thinking postively ,So due to it i could not give my message or opinion noboby would take me seriously . Now in my adulthood I feel confident to give advice because i have work for it very hard.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both questions: it presents ambition as helpful for staying focused and achieving goals, and it indicates that success matters because it can bring confidence and respect. The personal example about becoming more confident in adulthood is relevant and gives the position some support. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim that ambition can be negative is mentioned through “doubts” and “trust issue,” but the response does not explain when or why ambition might have harmful effects. The importance of succeeding is also asserted more than explored; for example, the point about income is unclear and not connected to a specific reason. State your position directly in the introduction, then develop each answer with a clear explanation and a concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation: the response moves from a general view of ambition to its effects, then to success and a personal example, before concluding. Basic links such as “Although,” “In my opinion,” and “So” show attempts to connect ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear, and several sentences combine points without explaining their relationship. For instance, “Goes both ways” does not clearly identify what has two sides, while the sentence about income and working “on higer level” interrupts the discussion of why success matters. Paragraphing is limited, and the conclusion repeats earlier claims rather than bringing the argument together. Use one paragraph for each main question, with a clear topic sentence and supporting explanation, and make references such as “it” and “their” unambiguous.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses a limited but relevant set of vocabulary, including “ambition,” “goals,” “achieve,” “succeed,” “confident,” and “respect.” These words allow the reader to identify the main topic and the writer’s general view. However, vocabulary is repetitive, and frequent spelling errors—such as “fouces,” “negetive,” “doudts,” and “achive”—make reading less smooth. Some word combinations are unclear or unnatural, including “trust issue,” “in all perpective income,” and “take ambition positively.” Aim to use accurate, natural phrases for the ideas you want to express, and check spelling carefully. Building a small set of topic-related expressions, such as “set realistic goals” and “gain a sense of achievement,” would help you explain your points more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a conditional idea beginning “when people think positive way.” However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine clauses are often faulty, so the reader sometimes has to infer the intended meaning. Examples include “Although its is good have aim in your life,” “It is important makes us feels amazing,” and “when was I young would love to take part,” where sentence structure, verb forms, or missing grammatical elements disrupt clarity. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, such as “set goal” and the comma spacing in “In my opinion,to.” Practise complete sentence patterns and review verb forms, articles, and clause boundaries before adding more complex structures.
