Student answer (Band 5.5)
In most of the countries, there is a decline in choosing science subjects at the university level. We will talk about the reasons of this decline and the what affects it may cost on society.
Accross the globe, most of the students are not choosing science subjects like chemistry, physics or biology at the university level. There is a great declince in choosing science. In my opinion, this decline is happening due to the advancement in the technology field. There is a great rush of students studing computer related subjects at the university level. For example: In the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, The faculty of Engeneering has more then 1000 students and the faculty of Science has only 200 students. This all is happening because of the modern technology, people are earning money while working online. People are working at freelane platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, etc. That is the main reason behind the decline in Scinece education.
I think this decline has may affect our society. If student continue to study other subject rather than science, there will be a lack of medical persons can be seen in hospitals. As everyone is choosing other subjects, it might also cause them unemployment because of the balance shift. Because, technology field or any other also have minimum or specific jobs, but when there are more people choosing those subjects than only few will get jobs and rest of them will be facing unemployment.
In my opinion, students should focus on all the fields of education and do not cause any shift of change because every subject has its societal and moral values.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question and give a clear main explanation: students are attracted to technology-related study and online earning opportunities. The university comparison provides a relevant example, while the possible shortage of medical staff and increased unemployment are pertinent social effects. However, the causes are presented quite narrowly, and the effects are asserted rather than fully explained; for instance, clarify how fewer science graduates would affect healthcare provision or other areas of society. The final recommendation that students study all fields does not add much explanation of the causes or effects. Develop each main point with a clearer chain of reasoning and, where possible, a specific supporting example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to causes, effects and a concluding opinion. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and examples are placed near the points they support. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive: the second paragraph repeats that students are not choosing science before explaining the technology-related cause. Some links are awkward or unclear, such as “This all is happening because of the modern technology” and “Because, technology field or any other also have minimum or specific jobs.” Use fewer repeated statements and connect each cause or effect through a clear sequence. More precise referencing and transitions would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “science subjects,” “technology field,” “medical persons,” and “unemployment,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive. “Decline in choosing” is repeated, “medical persons” is not a natural term for healthcare workers, and “balance shift” does not clearly express the intended effect. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “Accross,” “declince,” “Engeneering,” and “freelane,” which reduce the accuracy of the writing. Build a wider set of precise terms for university enrolment, graduate employment and workforce shortages, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences to explain causes and effects, but the range is limited and complex constructions are often faulty. For example, “If student continue to study other subject rather than science, there will be a lack of medical persons can be seen in hospitals” has problems with agreement, plurals and sentence structure. “This decline has may affect our society” also combines verb forms incorrectly, while “there are more people choosing those subjects than only few will get jobs” needs a clearer conditional structure and article use. These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise accurate conditional sentences and review subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, while keeping sentence structures manageable.
