Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is no denying fact that the phenomena of science and technology is ubiquituos across the globe due to its importance. But its an alarming issue that the students of many countries are not aware of this. In my further paragraph, I will explain the causes and possible effects on society.

Todays world are totally based on science and modern technology. But in some under developed and developing countries students are not sincere about this. First of all, in that types of country could not give a quality education to thir students. students got afraid when they think about science. They cinsider science as very hardest thing. The tutors could not provide a easy methods of study to their students. Just to cite an example, a report presents information about Bangladesh and they extend that approximately one third of Bangladeshi students are interested to choosing to study science at university. They also tried to findout why they are not choosing science and they contend that, teachers are not highl qualified and enough teaching abilities to make science easier. Although, another reports about Nepal says that, the Nepalese students are worring about the enough falicities of practical.

Unwillingness of science among the students will be a great issue for these countries. Todays world couldn't think a moment without science . By using and studying science, they make the whole world to a global village. Most of the developed countries economy are also based in science. The countries whereas science are not interested among students , they will face a significant problem in near future. Students are the backbone of a nation and if they not choose science as thier subject, they will be more backdated comparing to the rythm of world technology. There are lots of jobs and earning source in technology.

To recapitulate, if under developed countries are not aware of science and if they couldn't provide quality or easy methods science educations to their students, it will be a great loss for that country. In near future they will suffer more for that. I think with a joint efforts of the people and government , a control can be taken over this issue.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify causes, including inadequate teaching and limited practical facilities, and describe possible effects such as reduced technological progress and fewer employment opportunities. The examples referring to Bangladesh and Nepal help make the causes more concrete. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the link between students avoiding science and a country becoming “backdated” needs a clearer account of how this would affect society. The opening also suggests students are “not aware” of science, whereas your main explanation is that they fear it or lack suitable instruction. Clarify this distinction and develop the social effects with specific consequences or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on effects, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “First of all” and “To recapitulate” show how sections relate. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. The transition “Although, another reports about Nepal says” does not express a clear contrast, and the Bangladesh example is introduced with several vague references (“they”) that make it difficult to identify who conducted the report. The conclusion repeats the concern but does not clearly summarise the effects discussed. Use more precise referencing and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “quality education,” “practical,” “global village,” and “technology,” which helps communicate the central ideas. However, the range and control are limited by repeated or imprecise wording and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors. Examples include “ubiquituos,” “thir,” “cinsider,” and “backdated”; these can distract the reader or obscure the intended meaning. Phrases such as “enough falicities of practical” and “earning source” are also unnatural collocations. Build a more precise vocabulary for education and social consequences, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer familiar, accurate expressions over ambitious phrases that do not fit the context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if they not choose science” and a relative clause in “countries whereas science are not interested among students.” This shows an effort to express relationships between causes and consequences, but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “Todays world are totally based” and “the countries economy are,” while articles and sentence patterns are inaccurate in “could not provide a easy methods.” Some long sentences also combine several ideas without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and conditional forms, then divide complex explanations into shorter sentences where needed. These changes would make your meaning more consistently clear.
