IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In many countries not enough students are choosing to study science at university. What are the causes of this? What effects does it have on society?

Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this fast-paced technologicl world, the selection of sebjects have became a serious concern for educational domain. In most of the nations choosing science subjects experienced a gradual decrease due to advancement of artificial intellegence working. As a result, society is suffring from a high level of drastic impacts in terms of career opportunities and intellectual abilities.

The divergance from studying science subject can be attributed to the facts that most of the students consider scientific fields are now impractical and it is just a waste of time and money to invest in these subjects. Additionally, they prefer other subjects because they find science less rewarding when it comes to career opportunities. A recent study showed that most of the university going students opt for other fields just because lowest numbers of students prusued their job in scientific fields.

There are some shortcimings to consider. The biggest concern is that daviating from scientific knowledge can may affect students personal growth and improvement. this leads students to be less creative , intellectual and progressive. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms.
