Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, There are some countries in which learner's do not want to prefer other subjects instead of science. What effects does it on community. This essay will discuss it's both effects on society.

On the one hand, students want to study arts subject instead of science because they think it's more easy to understand and learn rather then that. Moreover, in universities individuals also want to enjoy their university life and make memories with their friends so, they think if they choose science or hard course then this will not allowed them to spent more quality time outside the classroom. Meanwhile, if they they had an opportunity to choose between science and other courses they prefer to select other which is not only ease for them but also they got chance to hangout more.

For example, if one pupil select BS chemistry while other choose Bs Finearts. Then there is a clear difference between these both course. Chemistry student was always busy with their class and lab work while fine arts student was not only chilling in their class by enjoy their class tasks which are very creative but also enjoyable to do, they also spending more time with their friends outside their class because there is no burden on them related to their theory work.

On the other hand, it also has some effects on society. They reason is that if all the students choose arts course then how they will become doctor, engineer or scientist and how they serve to their country economically. It will definitely had a bad effect on country.

In conclusion, every learner had a choice to choose their course based on their own perspective but, those individuals who are intelligent and have a sharp brain should choose their subject wisely because university course will had a strong effect on careers. And as a citizen it's responsibility of every learner tool serve their country after become what they want and a country needs alot of individuals in science related field which is important for a country development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (perceived difficulty and desire for social life) and effects (impact on national development and professional shortages). However, the development is somewhat superficial. The introduction is problematic as it misinterprets the prompt, stating students do not prefer subjects other than science, which contradicts the rest of the essay. The ideas are relevant but lack depth, relying on simplistic examples like 'Fine Arts' versus 'Chemistry'. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced analysis of why these trends occur and the broader societal implications beyond just the shortage of doctors or engineers.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'On the other hand' are used, they are sometimes applied incorrectly or in a way that feels forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the opening paragraph where the pronoun 'it' lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear progression of ideas, making the argument feel repetitive rather than cumulative.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'hard', 'easy', and 'good/bad'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'learner's' (incorrect pluralization), 'more easy' (should be 'easier'), and 'hangout' (used as a verb, whereas 'hang out' is the phrasal verb). The expression 'sharp brain' is informal and not suitable for an academic essay. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensuring correct word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every learner had a choice', 'university course will had'), incorrect verb tenses, and punctuation errors. Sentence structures are predominantly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. For instance, 'if they they had an opportunity' contains a repetition error, and 'how they will become doctor' is missing an article. You need to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and tense consistency.
