Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays studying science related course play an crucial role in our day-to-day life. But due to many reasons students are dropping themselfs not to choose study in science at particular university. In my Opinion students must aware of importants and opportunities created by choosing science. If not they might be many challenges faces by society and their are some effects too.

To begin with, According to recent survey in most of the countries all over the world, students are not showing intrest in choosing to study science because of how the subject is and how hard it is.

Here students should think about the future we bulit through taking step in to study in science an how much opportunities are generated. Instead of this students are focusing on how hard to face the subject and it may leads in stress condition throughout the life.

However, their are so many causes happened by not choosing science. For example it leads to more compitition in other fields followed by people will not be in aware of current affairs and law&order to follow.

On the other hand, if students not choose science in their studies gives lot of consequences and effects on society. Here by avoiding science new innovations can't be created for country development including economy.

Moreover, technology cannot improved or developed by other students who comes under non-science subject. For example, Chandrayan project was launched by lot of sceince students. Here if we have lack in science student our country's(india) name can't be on south pole of moon.

In conclusion, Student must choose science in their education in which more scienctist are in science field to create miracles in all over the world. They should know the importance of science which develops a particular country with upgrading current technlogy which improves countries economy too.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt (causes and effects). However, the development of ideas is limited. The causes are described vaguely as 'how hard the subject is', and the effects are somewhat repetitive, focusing primarily on innovation and economic growth. The argument lacks depth and specific examples are underdeveloped. For instance, the mention of the 'Chandrayaan project' is a relevant attempt at an example, but the explanation of how it links to the broader societal impact is weak. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations and logical links between the causes and the specific consequences for society.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Instead of this' and 'Here by avoiding science' are used in ways that do not effectively connect the preceding ideas. Additionally, some sentences are disjointed, making the progression of thought feel repetitive. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'their are so many causes happened by not choosing science', where the logical flow is interrupted by poor phrasing. More varied and precise linking words are needed to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'dropping themselfs', 'must aware of importants', and 'technology cannot improved'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precision and the presence of basic errors in word formation (e.g., 'scienctist', 'technlogy', 'compitition') restrict the score. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling and word forms. Avoid using informal or grammatically incorrect phrases like 'miracles in all over the world'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('studying science related course play', 'technology cannot improved'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain errors in complex structures, such as 'if students not choose science in their studies gives lot of consequences'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and apostrophes (e.g., 'country's(india)'). While you attempt some complex sentences, the high error rate prevents a higher score. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
