Student answer (Band 4.0)
Some individuals believe that driving tests should be compulsory necessary for every licence holder every five years. I completely agree with this statement.
Firstly, The first and most important advantage of retaking test of driving licence is awareness about the driving rules every five years. Also revised them if any changes are done in rules they can follow and learn about that particular rule. Not only this, renew the driving licence also help to detect the unhealthy people for example if a eye site is weak person or an old person who doesn't able to continue driving according to rules rules they can do regulation as a result authorities can reject their driving licence.
However it has some disadvantages one of them is financial burden because some people do not afford retake exam every five years. also some people think that it is waste of money because they have many other thing in their life which require money. furthermore, retake test some people think that retest driving licence is time consuming process because of increasing population. get every one hard driving licence so long queues
In conclusion, This essay has more advantages than disadvantages. gover should retake the driving test while people driver can drive vehicles properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0
The response is significantly off-topic. The prompt asks for the causes and effects of students not choosing to study science at university, but you have written an essay about mandatory driving tests. Furthermore, the response is 43 words under the 250-word minimum requirement. Because you failed to address the task prompt entirely and did not meet the length requirement, the score is severely impacted. To improve, you must carefully read the prompt to ensure your ideas are relevant to the specific topic provided and ensure you write at least 250 words to fully develop your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak due to the lack of relevance to the prompt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Also', and 'In conclusion', but they are often used mechanically or incorrectly. For example, 'Not only this, renew the driving licence also help' is grammatically and cohesively awkward. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between ideas is disjointed. To improve, focus on using transition words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, central topic sentence that directly relates to the essay question.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'rules', 'money', and 'people'. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'unhealthy people' instead of 'medically unfit drivers' and 'eye site' instead of 'eyesight'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the misuse of vocabulary occasionally makes the intended meaning difficult to follow. To improve, try to learn topic-specific vocabulary and focus on using words in their correct context, paying attention to common collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammar is frequently inaccurate, which often impedes communication. There are consistent errors with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'renew the driving licence also help'), article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'get every one hard driving licence so long queues'). The essay relies on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences are often grammatically flawed. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
