Student answer (Band 5.0)

In my opion the statement is true that in many countriesnot enough students are choosing to study science at university. There are many reasons behind it.Now i will explain it here.

Science is very popular subject worldwide. If any stydent study in science then he will become a doctor or engineer, pilot, scientiest and many more. Aditionally there are a vast number of door will open after completing graduation. That's why student have to spend a huge time on study. without science you can not know about medical topic or engineering topic. These are the part of science while banker belong from business studies. In the societies , most of the top position job belong from science background.Science contain physics , chemistry, biology and math . all of these are so difficult at the first glance . if study get interest in science then they study more and more and become the top tier person in the society like doctor, engineer and ect. from this afraidness they move from science. it's a alarming concern for our society. For example if the number of science student decrease then it is difficult to get more doctor ,engineer. one of the major drawback of this issue is less doctor , engineer will be produce in future. As a result it is difficult to find available doctor in rural area.Science student are more efffective on research. They find out new resulation of different problem. Moreover research will face difficulties in near future.

Science is a interesting subject. But also it is difficult to compare with other subject as well. To study in science it need to give more time in study . In 1st world county most of the student work after graduate from college and try to be self employed. This is one o the main factor to ignore science in university. they focus on earning money rather than spend time on study. Furthermore , many student lost their hope and move on working as profession and beside they need a degree so that they can tell about thier educational background. they need a certificate rather than knowlegde however it obtain this is not concern.

In conclusion, I support the statement whiche on is given. As a result of less student choosing science in university it is alarming isses not only for the society but also for the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (difficulty of subjects, focus on immediate employment) and effects (shortage of professionals, impact on research). However, the development is inconsistent. While the ideas are relevant, they are often expressed in a repetitive or slightly confused manner, such as the discussion on 'afraidness' regarding the difficulty of science subjects. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and precision. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or logical explanations for why students avoid science, rather than listing general observations. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression within them is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'In conclusion'), they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly, such as 'As a result of less student choosing science...'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of ideas. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details. Improving the use of transition words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'difficult', and 'study' throughout the text. There are also several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'afraidness' (fear/intimidation), 'new resulation' (solutions/discoveries), and 'banker belong from business studies'. Spelling errors are frequent (e.g., 'opion', 'stydent', 'scientiest', 'thier', 'knowlegde'), which occasionally hinders readability. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and society and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'student have to spend', 'less doctor... will be produce'), article usage, and sentence construction. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of grammatical errors forces the reader to work harder to understand your points. You should focus on mastering basic sentence structures and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
