Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the era marked by dynamic discourse and diverse human thought, the question that in a number of countries not enough students selecting science subjects for their education has emerged as subject of profound debate and contemplation. On one hand, a compelling cohort of thinkers fervently contends that some argue that selecting subjects according to their taste is beneficial rather than putting his own wishing on learners without knowing their mental capabilities, viewing this principle as a fundamental cornerstone.

Conversely, an equally articulate school of through passionately assert that due to the lack of study science scope declined but the level of productivity increases in daily life but the massive issues of lack of good doctors , science work force but government should focus on the core issue and make firms for the interest building in youth, and emphasizes the issue which is helpful to get rid off from this concern

For Instance: My cousin his parent force him to select science subjects but he have zero interest in science groups, later he fails twice time, after that he select subjects according their taste, he passed his intermediate examinations

In summary, while both school of thought present undeniably compelling arguments grounded in valid reasoning, I firmly maintain that there is no substantial concern of forcing youngsters to select science groups. Looking ahead, it is sincerely hoped that individuals and society at large can strike a harmonious balance between these opposing viewpoints, there by fostering a more balanced, thoughtful and pragmatic path forward

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to address the prompt effectively. The task asks for the causes of students not choosing science and the effects on society. Instead, the essay focuses on the debate regarding whether students should be forced to study subjects they dislike. The content is largely irrelevant to the specific question asked, and the few mentions of 'lack of good doctors' or 'science work force' are too brief and undeveloped to constitute a proper response. Consequently, the position is unclear and the task requirements are not met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is disjointed, and the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the awkward use of 'Conversely' and 'For Instance'. The referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. The summary at the end does not effectively synthesize the points made, as the points themselves were not clearly established.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often used incorrectly. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'school of through' (instead of 'thought'), 'get rid off from this concern', and 'massive issues of lack of good doctors'. The range of vocabulary is narrow, and the errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the intended meaning. More precise and academic terminology is required to discuss the topic of education and societal impact.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('his parent force him'), tense consistency, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as the second paragraph, which lacks proper punctuation and syntactic control. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. The control of basic grammar is insufficient for a higher band score.
