Student answer (Band 5.5)
some people have argued that the young students have given very less importance to science in compared to other subject as a university students. there could be ample reasons behind it and circumstances which i could discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.
to begin with, the fee structure plays a great role in choosing a particular subject in the college. to simplify it , university demands high deposits from the students who are still unemployed and could not able to afford it while doing there studies. as result ,it changes a ray of hope inside the student to opt science as their main subject. for an instance, the international students who study abroad pay 3 quarter more educational fee if they want to choose science as their main subject. this cause that many overseas student loose their hope and interest by choosing science in universities in abroad.
moving further, this caused adverse circumstances on the upcoming generation and economic wealth. to strengthen my point, less inventions and innovation makes the human life at a stake and become a obstacle to ease living beings. however, the aeronautical engineering and life based researches cannot do better in their fields as their is shortage in demand of expertise and resources in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (fee structure) and effects (lack of innovation/economic impact). However, the development is limited. The explanation regarding fee structures is somewhat repetitive, and the discussion of effects is vague, lacking specific examples or logical depth. For instance, the claim that 'less inventions... makes the human life at a stake' is underdeveloped and lacks clarity. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more detailed, logical explanations and concrete examples to support your arguments, rather than relying on general statements. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the response is insufficient for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'to simplify it' and 'to strengthen my point' are used, but the logical flow between sentences is frequently disrupted by grammatical errors and awkward phrasing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'university demands' and 'international students' is not smoothly integrated. The progression of ideas is present but lacks the sophistication required for a higher band, as the transitions between sentences often feel forced or disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'given very less importance', 'loose their hope', and 'life based researches'. The phrase 'living life' is redundant, and 'scenerios' is misspelled. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic vocabulary prevent the essay from demonstrating the flexibility required for a higher band. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more academic terminology appropriate for an IELTS essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('university demands... who are... could not able to afford'), article usage, and sentence structure. For example, 'as result ,it changes a ray of hope' is grammatically incorrect and unclear. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to a lack of control. The punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would significantly improve your score.
