Student answer (Band 5.0)

As we know that todays era is AI and engineering related courses . The invention of Al change the entire field . Before Al mostly students choose science related fields because of high job market. But after Al and the evolution in engineering courses many students choose non science programs. As we that the future is Al and robotics. Their are many examples of that Ai replaces humans in many fields like in automobile , smart phone industry etc. Recently Tesla fire thousands of their workers , BYD also do the same and replace humans job with AI. And we also seen Auto robots is working on roads for food delivery. So behind all this evolution their is programing , engineering , machine learning , deep learning is involved . So the students choose those courses to secure their future. And the high demand in courses in non-engineering programs attract them. And yes this vast and instant change may effect the society because so many students now register in non-science fields when they will come in market after completing their education the market will flood with so many students who pursue for the job. And the job market have not that much jobs as compared to the number of students which will came in market so unemployment will occur. On the other hand the science related fields will face shortage of employees. And this all will cause negative impact on society in both situations increase registration in non-engineering courses and less registration in science fields.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt—causes and effects—but the development is superficial. You identify the rise of AI as a cause, but the explanation is repetitive and lacks depth. The discussion on effects focuses primarily on unemployment and a shortage of science graduates, which is relevant, but the argument is not fully extended. The essay lacks a clear structure, such as an introduction, distinct body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which makes it difficult to follow your position. To improve, ensure you provide specific, well-developed examples and organize your ideas into clear paragraphs to fully explore the implications of the trend.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks paragraphing, which is essential for a clear, logical progression of ideas. The response is presented as a single block of text, making it difficult for the reader to distinguish between the causes and the effects. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'So', the flow is often mechanical and repetitive. The referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when you use 'this' or 'that' without a clear antecedent. To reach a higher band, you must organize your response into logical paragraphs and use a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'students', 'fields', and 'jobs'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'pursue for the job' (should be 'pursue jobs') and 'market will flood' (should be 'market will be flooded'). While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'AI', 'robotics', and 'machine learning', the overall range is not sufficient to express complex ideas with precision. Focus on learning collocations and using more academic synonyms to improve the sophistication of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('the job market have not', 'students... which will came'), article usage ('the future is Al'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as 'So behind all this evolution their is programing...'. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are often marred by errors in punctuation and tense. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of verb tenses.
