Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an ongoing debate regarding the current trends in university's education as in a number of countries, students are choosing not to study science during their study in universities.
There are a number of causes behind this. The main reason behind this lies in a fact that we are now gaining entry into the era of modern technology which is making our life more easier, causing us to move away from the science. For example, artificial intelligence has changed the way of our thinking. Tasks which need a through and complex scientific approach to be carried out in the past are now being performed with the help of artificial intelligence without the involvement of any kind of scientific method. As a result, students are losing interest in science as they now think that future tasks can be easily carried out under the umbrella of artificial intelligence as compared to a scientific process. Another important reason is that the jobs regarding science are now declining in the world due to the introduction of artificial intelligence tools such as machine learning and roboutics. Furthermore, staying in the field of science now is becoming challenging and only those persons will survive which have an extra-ordinary talent to combat with modern technologies.
However, this shift have considerable effects. People are now moving away from the essence of science and now relying heavily on artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence can sometimes make such harmful mistakes that it can have ever-lasting effects on the humanity and mankind.
In conclusion, it is stated that modern technologies such as artificial intelligence and its domains such as roubotics and machine learning are causing students to not study sicence during their university's education but this change has a significant negative impact on a person's life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (technological reliance and job market shifts) and effects (societal risks). However, the development is somewhat repetitive, focusing almost exclusively on artificial intelligence as the sole cause for everything. While the ideas are relevant, they lack depth and variety. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, you should broaden your scope—perhaps discussing educational costs, the difficulty of scientific curricula, or the lack of career incentives beyond just AI—and ensure the effects are explored with more nuance beyond the vague mention of 'harmful mistakes'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'As a result', but the transition between the causes and the effects is abrupt. The paragraphing is also unbalanced; the second paragraph is quite long and dense, while the third paragraph is very short and lacks sufficient development. Improving the logical flow between sentences and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, balanced structure would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas, but there are several instances of awkward phrasing and minor errors. For example, 'gaining entry into the era' is unnatural, and 'roboutics' and 'sicence' are spelling errors. You rely heavily on the phrase 'artificial intelligence', which becomes repetitive. To improve, try to use more synonyms or related terminology (e.g., 'technological advancement', 'automated systems', 'computational fields'). While the vocabulary is adequate for the task, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'making our life more easier' (double comparative), 'this shift have' (subject-verb agreement), and 'only those persons will survive which have' (incorrect relative pronoun). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often feels slightly strained. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and avoid redundant modifiers like 'more easier'. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring they are error-free will help you move up the band scale.
