In recent years, most of students are reglating to study science at colleges. This is because of lack of opportunities in this sector which is mentioned in an essay.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes (high costs and limited job opportunities) and effects (unemployment and negative social perception). However, the development is somewhat superficial. The ideas are presented but lack depth or detailed explanation. For instance, the link between 'negative perception' and the student's argument is not fully explored. The essay tends to repeat points about fees and job markets rather than expanding on the broader societal implications. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced analysis of the consequences, such as the long-term impact on national innovation or economic growth, rather than focusing primarily on individual financial struggles.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'In one hand' (should be 'On the one hand') and 'In other hand' are used incorrectly. Additionally, the transition between the causes and the effects is abrupt. While there is a logical progression, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the flow feel somewhat disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'this', 'these') clearly points back to the intended antecedent.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'reglating to study' (likely meaning 'reluctant to study') and 'can't effort' (should be 'cannot afford'). Spelling errors like 'gardes', 'scholership', and 'provied' occur throughout the text, which impacts the overall quality. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on basic terms to express complex ideas. To achieve a higher score, you should work on using more precise academic collocations and ensure accurate spelling of key terms related to education and economics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('most of students are', 'student got'), article usage ('the government must focus to give access of educations'), and word form errors ('graduated adult' instead of 'graduates'). These errors are frequent and occasionally make the reader pause to interpret the intended meaning. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of control over basic grammar and punctuation prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for common errors like pluralisation and verb tense consistency.
