These days, students in various nations do not opt science subject at university. This essay will discuss reasons for this case and the effects of this on society in the upcoming paragraphs with a suitable examples.

To commence with, there are multifarious reasons of why students do not choose science at university. The first and foremost is different preferences. Although science is one of the best career option for juveniles but they have their own preferences to select the subject and career they want to pursue in future. Another considerable reason is high cost degree. In simple words, science graduation and post graduation degrees are more costlier than other paths. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes and effects. The ideas are relevant, such as the high cost of degrees and the resulting shortage of professionals. However, the development is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation regarding 'different preferences' is vague and lacks depth. The argument about 'dependence on other nations' is a strong point, but the supporting example is generic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, concrete examples and ensure that the link between the causes and the societal effects is more thoroughly explored and logically connected.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with,' 'Furthermore,' and 'To recapitulate.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'In simple words' or 'To elaborate it.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choices or collocations, such as 'opt science subject' (should be 'opt for science subjects'), 'high cost degree' (should be 'expensive degrees'), and 'more costlier' (a double comparative error). While you attempt to use some academic vocabulary like 'multifarious' and 'prominent,' these are not always used in the most natural context. Focusing on accurate collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing will help improve your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'a suitable examples' (article error), 'each and every individual in nation' (missing article), and 'many European countries has' (subject-verb agreement error). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and punctuation prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement, article usage, and ensuring that comparative adjectives are used correctly.
