Other reasons could be that of scope of the degree nowadays as we know that artificial intelligence has high scope so many student is choosing that as their main subject .IN our university most of the student who used to study with us have dropout in the middle of their studies and take admission in AI due to the high demanding skill

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt—causes and effects—but the development is limited. While you identify difficulty and the rise of AI as causes, and healthcare shortages as an effect, the ideas are not fully extended. For instance, the mention of AI is relevant but lacks a clear connection to why science degrees are perceived as less attractive. The conclusion is repetitive and does not add new insight. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis for each point raised, ensuring that the link between the causes and the societal consequences is more clearly articulated and logically structured.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often interrupted by repetitive phrasing and weak transitions. While you use some cohesive devices like 'However' and 'In conclusion', their usage is sometimes mechanical or incorrectly placed. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is disjointed; for example, the second paragraph jumps between general statements about science and personal anecdotes about university dropouts without a smooth transition. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one, rather than restating the same point multiple times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'hard', 'bad', and 'problems'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'ass' instead of 'as', 'inn' instead of 'in', and 'effect' used where 'affect' is required. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'undergraduate studies' and 'healthcare system', the overall range is limited. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the English language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('most of the countries... faces', 'many student is choosing'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often fragmented or run-on, which affects readability. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of plural/singular nouns. Additionally, try to vary your sentence structure by using more complex clauses correctly, ensuring that your grammar supports your ideas rather than distracting from them.
