Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the causes (complexity of the subject, lack of facilities, and the appeal of other sectors) and the effects (hindrance to national development and technological progress). The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. However, the explanation of the effects could be more nuanced; while you mention the 'fourth revolution,' the link between students avoiding science and specific societal consequences could be more explicitly detailed. The position is clear throughout, and the essay maintains a consistent focus on the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. For instance, the transition between the lack of laboratory facilities and the globalized business sector is a bit abrupt. Referencing is generally clear, but some sentences are slightly disjointed, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'pivotal,' 'sophisticated,' and 'epidemic.' However, there are several spelling errors ('knowlegde,' 'peovides,' 'knowlwdge,' 'beacause,' 'envioronment') and some awkward collocations ('delineate the eagerness,' 'get ride of'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precision and careful proofreading. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary with greater accuracy and ensuring correct spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'we as a nation can not be able to reach' (redundant modal usage) and 'without science it will be completely unimaginable' (awkward phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of semicolons and commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors limits the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and avoiding redundant phrasing would improve your accuracy.
