Student answer (Band 4.5)
in many countries many of students are not learning science or branches or science just beacuse students loses their intrust in sceince they preffer to study computer or Ai then science.students thaughts the science is boring or too dificult yo study but on the other hand they knows that Ai ir computer is much easier then scinece so they take more intreast in computer or other subjects expect science.
reasons:there are multiple reasons of why not much students choose study to science in many of countries in the whole world beacuse sceince are not much easy to study or practical.sceince may contains different subjects like chemistry physics or many other.on the other hand most of universties in different countries can't provide the best education of science.they may not have good educations skills and not good labortries or science labs they can't provide facilities to their students for studiyng pathetic science also some of students are not elligible to study sciences and other subjects releated to science student's have not much avearness about science or releated subjects that's why students cant take intereast in sciences these are the reasons why students cant choose science to study.students are scared beacuse the saleries of doctora are not higher in most of countries so they thought if we spend alot of money on ohr degrees and then if we cant get good seleries then its totally worthless so.also there is more multiple reasons.
there is very bad effect on our socaity because the scineces is most common thing in our life we have to take knowledge about them to meet or our needs and dificulties. All the universties of every country have need to improve their sceince skills and give awearness to their young youth or students about sceince.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying causes such as students losing interest, a preference for computer science or AI, poor school facilities, lack of awareness, and low salaries for doctors. It also touches upon the effects on society, stating that science is common and necessary to meet daily difficulties. However, the ideas are relatively under-developed and lack fully supported, elaborated examples. The position is somewhat evident, but the lack of strong structural development keeps this in the lower bands. Phrases like 'there are multiple reasons' attempt to structure the answer, but the ideas remain superficial. This aligns with the Band 5 descriptor where the task is addressed, but ideas are limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The organization of the essay suffers significantly due to poor punctuation and lack of standard paragraphing. The student writes large, run-on blocks of text or fragments, such as 'reasons:there are multiple reasons...', which impede smooth progression. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'on the other hand' being used incorrectly to introduce consecutive points rather than a contrast. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical sequencing is frequently disrupted by capitalization errors and missing spacing. There is no clear overall progression of ideas within paragraphs, reflecting the characteristics of Band 4, though the presence of some organizational attempts prevents a lower score.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently revolving around everyday words like 'science', 'students', 'study', and 'computer'. There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, including 'beacuse', 'intrust', 'sceince', 'preffer', 'dificult', 'yo', 'knos', 'intreast', 'expect', 'universties', 'labortries', 'studiyng', 'elligible', 'avearness', 'saleries', 'doctora', 'seleries', 'ohr', and 'socaity'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling mistakes heavily strain the reader and obscure meaning in several places. The student attempts a few less common items like 'eligible' and 'facilities', but persistent spelling errors and limited range place this firmly at Band 4.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited, relying heavily on simple sentences strung together with conjunctions or run-on punctuation. There are frequent and severe grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('science are not much easy', 'students cant take intereast'), incorrect tense usage ('students thaughts the science is'), and faulty sentence structures ('so they thought if we spend alot of money on ohr degrees and then if we cant get good seleries then its totally worthless so'). Punctuation and capitalization are largely ignored throughout the response. These frequent errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader and distort meaning, aligning closely with Band 4 descriptors.
