IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In many countries not enough students are choosing to study science at university. What are the causes of this? What effects does it have on society?

Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The low percentage of students choosing study science at university, it is because in most countries there are not enough resources to teach the students about science programs in universities. I agree with the as the students as they want to earn their living after studies. But in most countries the students don’t get much information about science projects, experiments and lack of teachers guidance so it become difficult for them to choose this field. I also disagree with the students for not choosing science subjects at university because of benefits about studying science. After involving in tge studies of science, students become able to share knowledge about dieseases , logics and reasoning questions. And all we know that Science study is the main part of our society.

The main reasons of the students for not choosing it, the study of science is bit hard to understand. Most students don’t take interest in it. Students often dislike science because of a number diagrams and other problems. It makes the students lazy about understanding it quiz and tricky questions. It contains most of the knowledge and logical informations.

There are many examples to mention for it, but I am going to talk about my school classmate. He liked to study science. He often talk about the science logical questions and discuss about its solutions in the classroom. When he got admission at university. He choose science in it, after studying it without experimental labs at university, he often didn’t get involve deeply into the topics so as a result he stressed a lot and his performance in exams becomes down. So interest in a subject is not everything resources also matter in it
