Education is the key aspect in the development of any individual or country. Many countries are trying to provide education in every field while some countries had already developed a wide system. One of the important subject or field in education is Science. Well it has its own positive and negative sides like natural phenomeneon or most of the existing things or technology in the world are depended on science whereas it is also very challenging and hard to understand the concepts.
Many of the countries are providing courses other than Science and majority of student joining can have several resons like personal interest, not greater undestanding in science , base concept arent clear. But there can be various causes or impact on the society.Student not learning science can stop invention of new technologies, not knowing science subjects can led a country to bad economic development. For example in today era Artificial Intelligence (AI) is dominating in the IT sector or in the computer industry, If students are not interested in this or do not choose to study this we probably get stuck into this era only and cant develop new technology or only just relay on the machines to do the task. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: causes for students not choosing science (such as personal interest, lack of foundational understanding, and difficulty of concepts) and the effects on society (stagnation in new technology and economic development, relying entirely on machines). The position is generally clear, though some ideas are underdeveloped and the reasoning can be repetitive. For instance, the discussion on Artificial Intelligence provides a relevant example, but the overall development lacks depth and extension. Therefore, this performance aligns closely with Band 6, where all parts of the task are addressed, but some elements lack full elaboration.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement, but the paragraphing and logical progression show noticeable flaws. The introduction is brief and slightly disjointed, and the main body paragraph is extremely dense, grouping multiple causes and effects together without clear transitions. Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or missing entirely, as seen in run-on sentences like 'For example in today era Artificial Intelligence (AI) is dominating in the IT sector or in the computer industry, If students are not interested in this or do not choose to study this we probably get stuck...' Referencing and paragraphing require better structuring to ensure smooth progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and topics such as 'Artificial Intelligence', 'phenomenon', and 'economic development'. However, there are frequent word-choice errors, inaccurate collocations, and spelling mistakes throughout the text (e.g., 'phenomeneon', 'depended' instead of dependent, 'resons', 'undestanding', 'led' instead of lead, 'today era' instead of today's era, 'relay' instead of rely). These errors do not entirely impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5, as noticeable lexical inadequacies cause difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak. There are frequent errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, punctuation, and article usage. Examples include 'Education is the key aspect', 'majority of student joining can have several resons', 'base concept arent clear', and 'students need to be teach'. Run-on sentences and comma splices are common, notably in the second paragraph where multiple independent clauses are incorrectly linked with commas. While meaning is generally recoverable, the high frequency of basic and complex structural errors places this response firmly at Band 5.
