Student answer (Band 4.5)
In numerous rural areas the science study is not selected by sufficient learners at universcity. I beleived that it is happen in many of countries because the scholars of today are more focusing on the entertainment. It make a negative impact on out society.
The main cause of not selecting the science study are more learner wants easiness in thier life. They want spend thier time in joyfull activites and spend a lot of their time in watching series and movies. They choose easy subjects and spent their most time in entertiaing activites. A large number of students waste thier time in playing the video games like PUBG, GTA5 and IGI etc.
And in our society it is very negative impact. The progess of world is stoped by this reason, students waste their time in other activites. Our society faces these things very badly. Students not taking a part in debats and they spent alot of their time in stupid activities. For example, A very barilliant student of my society choose BSIR in universcity becuase he wants tp spent their time at game.
In Conclusion, most of students are not selecting to study sciencenat universcity because they want to spend thier time in joyfull activities. And this is the main reason these students choose other program for the easiness.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by suggesting causes such as a preference for entertainment and easy subjects, and touches upon the societal effect of stopped progress. However, the development of ideas remains very limited and repetitive. Furthermore, the length requirement of 250 words is not met, as the student's response contains only 218 words. This results in a penalty for under-length, capping the task achievement score. Examples of under-developed ideas include vague assertions about students playing video games like PUBG and GTA5 without linking them effectively to the broader societal consequences. Overall, the task is addressed only partially, aligning with a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is divided into four paragraphs, showing some basic structural awareness. However, there is no clear overall progression or logical sequencing of ideas. Cohesive devices are minimal, mechanical, and sometimes inaccurate, such as using 'And in our society it is very negative impact' to begin a paragraph. Paragraphing is also somewhat erratic, mixing different thoughts together without clear signposting. Referencing is frequently unclear, which impedes the smooth reading of the text. This level of organisation and cohesion reflects the descriptors for Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently hampered by noticeable spelling errors such as 'universcity', 'beleived', 'thier', 'activites', 'progess', 'debats', and 'barilliant'. The student attempts to use some less common words like 'entertainment' and 'progress', but word choice and collocation are often unnatural, as seen in phrases like 'the science study is not selected' and 'easiness in thier life'. The limited range and frequent errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 4.0 descriptors closely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mostly of simple and frequently faulty complex sentences. There are constant errors in basic grammar, tense usage, and agreement, such as 'It make a negative impact', 'the main cause... are more learner wants', and 'students not taking a part'. Punctuation is also problematic in several places. These frequent errors cause frequent strain and difficulty for the reader, which corresponds directly to the Band 4.0 descriptors.
