Student answer (Band 5.0)
In nowadays, many countries students are not choosing to study science at university. It is widely believed that this issue has become increasingly significant in modren society. This issue has become serious because there are decrease in sciences students
The reason behind it, that the students are not interested in the science subjects. They want to became a lawyer, solider, and judge. So they choose subjects according to thier dreams and ambitions. In my countries many students are interested in arts subjects because they want to become a CSS officers, science need lot of hardwork and time, but for a student who want to pass CSS is required extra time for the prepartion of CSS.
Another reason behind it is that they need freedom from with study and science required deep observation and hardwork at university. In current generation there are no motivation and clear plan for the future. Some students choose arts bacause of others like friends and relatives. According to my knowledge at university stage many pupils lose interest in science and they studied other subject just for thier families. In passage time they have no interest in study, they only study for time pass.
In conclusion, not enough pupils choose study science at university because they want to feel stressless and happy. There are need of proper decision and planning for conviencing students for study science subject. It is important to held seminars in school and colleges for the awearness of science and the future of science for the pupils.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt—causes of the decline in science students and the effects on society—although the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the writer states that students prefer careers like being a lawyer or a 'CSS officer' and mentions that science requires 'lot of hardwork and time.' However, the effects on society are only vaguely touched upon in the conclusion regarding finding stressless paths, lacking a direct exploration of wider societal impacts such as a shortage of scientific professionals. The position is clear, but ideas tend to be generalised rather than fully extended, placing the response securely in Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organisation with visible paragraphing, including an introduction, body paragraphs addressing reasons, and a conclusion. However, there is a lack of clear progression, and the logical flow is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and repetitive sentence structures. Cohesive devices are used minimally or inappropriately, such as 'In passage time' instead of 'Over time' or 'In the passage of time.' Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it difficult to follow the logical links between ideas. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs remains inadequate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple words like 'study,' 'science,' 'students,' and 'time.' There are noticeable spelling and word choice errors that detract from the writing, such as 'modren,' 'became' instead of 'become,' 'thier,' 'prepartion,' 'bacause,' and 'awearness.' While the writer attempts to use less common terms like 'ambitions' and 'observation,' the limited range and frequent inaccuracies in word formation and collocation cause some difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but errors in grammar and punctuation are frequent. Examples of grammatical errors include 'In nowadays, many countries students are not choosing,' 'there are decrease in sciences students,' 'science need lot of hardwork,' and 'There are need of proper decision.' Subject-verb agreement errors ('there are decrease', 'science need') and missing articles ('at university stage') are prevalent throughout the text. These frequent errors occasionally impede communication and restrict the score to Band 5.
