Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify perceived difficulty, time and cost as reasons for low enrolment, and describe a possible shortage of healthcare workers as a social effect. The healthcare example gives the discussion some support. However, the response only partially develops the task. The causes are presented briefly, and the effects focus almost entirely on medical services; broader consequences, such as reduced research or technological innovation, are not explored. Your position is also unclear in the introduction: phrases such as “I find the given notion logically sound” do not clearly state your view or preview the answer. Develop each cause-and-effect link with explanation and a relevant example, and make your central response explicit from the outset.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on effects, and a conclusion. The sequence from reasons to consequences is easy to follow, and signposts such as “To commence with” and “On the other side” help indicate the paragraph roles. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. “On the other side” does not express a clear contrast here, and the introduction contains several sentences that repeat the idea of presenting points without advancing it. Within the body paragraphs, explain how each point connects to the next—for example, how lengthy training may discourage applicants and how fewer science graduates affect healthcare capacity. Use clearer referencing and more natural transitions to strengthen progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “science,” “university,” “health care departments,” and “job opportunities,” so the main topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “science study in less damond,” “short way,” “medical line,” and “major effects on health care.” Spelling errors such as “scince,” “studends,” and “genration” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “demand for science courses,” “a quicker route to employment,” and “healthcare professions.” Building a small bank of accurate topic vocabulary and checking spelling would make your ideas easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a reason clause in “students do not choose science subject because it is very complex” and a conditional idea beginning “if students will not choose.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, articles, and agreement sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the main reason students do not choose science subject because” needs a clearer grammatical structure, while “if students will not choose” uses an unsuitable verb form for this conditional. The conclusion also contains incomplete constructions, such as “Along with this, aware the citizens.” Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles and verb forms before submitting.
