Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often debated whether students are not choosing the science ajucation in to the university. This trend can be attributed to several factors, including the perceived difficulty of science subjects and the availability of more attractive career options. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own view that It can have serious consequences, particularly for technological development and public health.

On the one hand when student do not like to study science subject they fill borin and disapoymet. This is largely because, all the time they have lising that the science is a very deficult in study so they do not kate entreste in this. To exemplify, in Pakistan they do not give a proper ajucation to ther student so they are not intreaste in to the study so, they do not increse into the science fild.

On the other hand, when student do not take a part in science subject so they cant help to the pepole and there family when they are in sick. They do not make bride fucher of there cuntry. There are maney cuntry are have a bride fucher in science they make a good medicines for auther cuntry. For instance, When the covid-19 come in to the wold at time the India ame a wekcine for all the cuntry and it was sakse. So i think student take a part in to the science fild.

In conclusion, although both views have their own merits, Ibelieve that student take a good ajucation in science subject is more convincing. The goverment shoud give a smart ajucation with acitivites so student do not think that scirnce is a very boring and dificult subjet. The university also give sum nolage about science to student get more intreste.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both causes and effects, and your position is visible: you argue that low interest and inadequate education discourage science study, while fewer science students may harm healthcare and national development. The examples of Pakistan’s education and India’s COVID-19 vaccine are relevant attempts to support these points. However, the causes are only briefly explained, and the effects are not consistently made clear: the claim that students cannot help sick people needs a more direct link to shortages of trained scientists or medical research. The conclusion shifts towards recommendations for government and universities rather than clearly summarising the causes and societal effects. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation and a specific consequence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the broad stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are joined in long, unclear sequences, such as the explanation beginning “This is largely because” and the claims about countries having a “bright future.” Some linking phrases are used mechanically or do not express the relationship accurately. The conclusion also introduces recommendations without a clear transition from the effects discussed. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a logical order, using simpler, more precise links.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “career options,” “technological development,” “public health,” and “vaccine.” These choices show an effort to discuss causes and social consequences beyond everyday topics. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “ajucation,” “borin,” “deficult,” and “wekcine.” Several expressions are also unnatural or unclear, such as “make bride fucher” and “take a part in science subject.” Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. Prefer accurate, familiar collocations such as “study science at university,” “pursue a science degree,” and “develop new medicines” over phrases whose meaning is uncertain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “when they are in sick” and a cause-and-effect construction beginning “This is largely because.” However, control is weak: errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently and sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. Examples include “when student do not like,” “they cant help to the pepole,” and “the India ame a wekcine.” The opening sentence and several later clauses also lack clear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check singular and plural forms, verb tense, articles, and punctuation, and read each sentence aloud to identify incomplete or confusing constructions.
