Student answer (Band 4.5)

In most countries adult students not prefer to study science at universty. In my opinion, they know that their is no scope of scince in future so thats why they decide to study mathematics and computer for their bright future.

On the first hand, in almost all countries student cannot prefer to study science in universty because they the they have more options in other subjects and have more opportunity of jobs in other subjects. Seening that they chose maths or bisuness subject in universty since they complete it and get a good job which fullfill their meet. Nowadays science is only for medical students who want to become a doctor as they have not other oportunity to take other full time job.

On the other hand, future is full of AI things so mostly students skip science and make intrest in computer subjects as they know that computer have a large scope and be helpfull in modren days. Nevertheless mostly student prefer bisuness subjects in universty because everyone want to become an entrepreneur and made sucess in life due to mostly the students thinks job is a wrong idea so thats why all the universty not seeing any science students. In my experience i am also want to become a doctor when i am child and when i am growing up and see the scope of other subjects i quiet going with science and took part in IT and know i am still working to achive my goals.

In conclusion, in many countries their are no science students because their is better oportunity in other subjects and every one know science subjects have not more scope rather then doctoring and nusing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both causes and effects, and your main position is that students choose other subjects because they expect better employment prospects. Examples include the preference for computing and business, and your personal account of moving from an ambition to become a doctor towards IT. However, the effects on society are not clearly explained: the response mainly repeats why students avoid science, rather than showing what society loses as a result, such as fewer researchers or slower technological progress. Several claims, including that science has little scope beyond medicine, are broad and unsupported. To strengthen the response, separate causes from social effects and develop each with a clear explanation and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two main paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its general structure. The contrast signalled by “On the first hand” and “On the other hand” also indicates an attempt to organise ideas. However, the paragraphs do not establish a clear progression from causes to effects, and the second body paragraph combines AI, business careers and personal experience without showing how these points connect. Linking phrases are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, while references such as “they” and “it” can be unclear. Organise the body around distinct points, use topic sentences to guide the reader, and make each example support the paragraph’s central idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “science,” “opportunity,” “computer subjects,” “entrepreneur” and “scope,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is basic and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “subjects,” “students” and “scope.” Frequent spelling errors such as “universty,” “scince,” “bisuness” and “oportunity” make the writing less clear and reduce accuracy. Some expressions are also imprecise, for example “full of AI things” and “fullfill their meet.” Build a more precise vocabulary for discussing education, employment and social consequences, and check spelling and collocations carefully during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as” and “when,” but control is inconsistent and errors often make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “they know that their is no scope” has an incorrect verb form, and “mostly the students thinks” shows a subject–verb agreement problem. Tense and sentence construction are also unreliable in “when i am growing up and see the scope … i quiet going with science.” Articles, plurals and punctuation need attention as well. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause; check verb agreement and keep past and present time references consistent.
