Student answer (Band 4.5)
The statement shows that in most of the countries students are not choosing to get a study in science at colleges or university .
According to me, every body have to choose their own study fields to get a good knowledge and fulfill their dreams while other stuck with the parents knowledge. To get a science subject in the university or college is not east as compare to previous years .The competetion is increases day by day in every field to get a admissions.
Firstly, students think to get a study in science is very difficulties to achieve their goals and sucess in their life. Every body have their creteria to determine their strength in the studies . Science is not a difficulty subject as compare to other subjects on the other hand to become a doctor , scientist and physician and many more brilliant opportunities we can get if we do studies in science. For example, if we get a degree or done PhD In the science background we have alot options in the future and upcoming jobs.
Secondly, some of the adults in some countries are not applied to study in science subjects .The main cause is that we have a wide variety of chossing the field to get a admissions in the college or University.because not every one wants to become a doctor or scientist .Some people want to become a engineer ,teacher and many more .
To put it down ,I pen down by saying that students have thier own decisions to choose their profession .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify possible reasons for low science enrolment, including students finding science difficult and having many alternative fields to choose from. However, the response does not adequately answer both parts of the question: it gives almost no explanation of the effects on society. The examples of becoming a doctor or scientist describe career options for individuals, rather than consequences for society, and the claim that competition has increased is not clearly connected to the question. Your position that students should choose their own fields is understandable, but the causes and effects need to be explained and supported more directly. To improve, develop specific social effects, such as shortages of researchers or slower technological progress, and explain how each follows from fewer science graduates.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic overall structure, with an opening, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding statement. These markers help the reader recognise the intended sequence. However, progression is limited because the paragraphs do not consistently develop one clear point: the first body paragraph moves from difficulty and competition to career opportunities, while the second mainly lists alternative professions. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, and the conclusion repeats the idea of personal choice rather than drawing together the causes and societal effects. Use each body paragraph to develop one cause or effect, with a clear topic sentence and explanation, and make references between sentences more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “science,” “university,” “degree,” “PhD,” and “profession,” so the general subject is usually recognisable. However, the range is basic and several inaccurate or repetitive expressions make ideas less clear, such as “get a study in science,” “parents knowledge,” and “wide variety of chossing the field.” Spelling errors such as “competetion,” “sucess,” and “creteria” also weaken control. Aim to learn natural academic collocations for discussing education and society, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain causes and consequences rather than relying on repeated references to choosing a field or becoming a particular professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast in “Science is not a difficulty subject … on the other hand…” and a conditional example beginning “if we get a degree.” However, sentence control is inconsistent, and errors frequently affect clarity. Examples include “every body have” instead of a correctly formed subject–verb construction, “students think to get a study … is very difficulties,” and “some of the adults … are not applied.” Articles, plurals, verb forms, and sentence boundaries also need attention; several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clear clauses using “because,” “although,” and “if.” Proofread each sentence for subject–verb agreement and a complete grammatical structure.
