Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both causes and effects, and the examples about assignment demands, AI, engineers, and healthcare workers are relevant to the question. However, the response only partially develops these points. The link between heavy coursework and students’ choices is asserted rather than explained, while the claim that AI is replacing engineers needs clearer support and is not fully connected to why students avoid studying science. The effects paragraph identifies possible shortages of engineers and doctors, but the final point about economic effects is left unexplained. The conclusion also ends with “Effects like” and does not complete its summary, so the response’s overall position and main ideas are not fully brought together. Develop each cause and effect with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on effects, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the one side,” “Additionally,” and “As a result” show an effort to guide the reader through the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from assignments to AI and job competition without fully explaining the connection between these ideas. Some linking expressions are awkward or do not accurately signal the relationship between points, and “On the other side” is less suitable than a direct transition to effects. The conclusion’s unfinished “Effects like” disrupts the ending. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each claim to its explanation before introducing the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “assignments,” “job sector,” “engineers,” “infrastructure,” and “healthcare.” This gives the response a basic range for discussing education and society. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “students are loosing their interest,” “higher competion,” “a humans interface,” and “country with out professionals would be like on development.” Spelling errors such as “secter” and “difficults” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common academic word partnerships and check spelling and word forms. More precise expressions for declining enrolment, employment prospects, and national development would help communicate your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “As a result, many well trained engineers are now facing a problem to secure a job.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “studying science at the colleges were kept reducing” has problems with agreement and verb form, while “Engineers are the ones who helps” has a subject–verb agreement error. The final sentence fragment, “Effects like,” also leaves the conclusion grammatically incomplete. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then check verb agreement and tense before adding subordinate clauses.
