Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is noticable that, many countries not enough students are choosing to study science at university.
In my point of view, every person has a own goal. That is the common things that's why students do not take secience at university while chose another major subject for early reaching their career goal.
This eassy will dicsuss both such as causes and effect on society.
Now looking at details, after succesfully completing college level then students decide that which subject is more easy or good for reaching their plans then take related filed for study.
In my point of view, not only students but also professionals and others people who lived our society they might should focus their main plan and take related feild whrere they get more interest.
On the other hand, some students totally dislike science while prefer arts or business related subject. Another reason is, they getting lack of confidance as well as affraid because science filed is too hard also inculded practically fields visit and industrial attachments.
However, in my perspective, it has no long term bad effect. But on thing is here, when a large proportion of students ignore science study that will be create a bad impact for any society.
For instance: a huge number of students did not took science for higher study then universities teacher are lost their cofidence, also effect in job market so many science related vacancy available but comapnies did not getting right person.
In conclusion, I have a suggestion also responsilble people should encourage students but did not pressurised also provide good and advanced level education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both causes and effects, and your position is that students choose other subjects to reach career goals, while reduced science enrolment can harm society. The causes you identify—dislike of science, low confidence, and perceptions that it is difficult—are relevant. You also give an example involving unfilled science-related vacancies. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the career-goal explanation is broad, and the effect on society is mainly described through universities and employers rather than wider consequences such as innovation or public services. The claim that there is “no long term bad effect” also conflicts with the negative impact you then describe. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation and a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to causes, effects, and a conclusion. Some signposting, such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion,” helps readers identify these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several transitions do not express the relationship between ideas accurately. For example, “Now looking at details” does not clearly introduce the causes, while “However” introduces an effect without a clear contrast. The opening repeats the task, and the conclusion introduces a suggestion rather than summarising the argument. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s purpose, connect explanations to examples, and use fewer, more precise linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “career goal,” “science-related vacancy,” “industrial attachments,” and “job market,” so the reader can generally identify the subject of your ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “early reaching their career goal,” “more easy,” “lack of confidance,” and “companies did not getting right person.” Some expressions, such as “professionals and others people who lived our society,” are also imprecise for the intended meaning. Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing university choices and social consequences, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer natural combinations such as “achieve career goals” and “a shortage of qualified graduates.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “while” and a conditional idea beginning “when a large proportion of students ignore science study.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “every person has a own goal” has an article error, while “universities teacher are lost their cofidence” combines incompatible verb forms and has agreement problems. The sentence beginning “after succesfully completing college level” also lacks a clear grammatical connection to its main idea. Practise building complete sentences with one clear subject and verb, then check tense, agreement, and articles. Use punctuation to separate complete ideas.
