Student answer (Band 5.0)
Various countries not enough students to study in science at university. This is because an expensive tuition fee and they don't want to take science courses, this is detrimental in the society because lack of workers in medical field like scientist.
The main reason is that parents cannot afford that their children study in science like in medical field because of an expensive tuition fee this is because lack of finanacial. Moreover, children are more likely choose easy programme such as tourism management becasue in the present days learners are more on in technoligical advancetment that way they are not facinating in science subject. Furthermore, goverment officials should make plan so that learners can study in science subject, for instance public servant implement a scholorship so that some student who want that programme has oppurtunity to study, it is vital in the society to influence student in a good way.
Other reason is that learners are not compassionate in science because it is more on challenging subject or lesson, this is because of lack of concentration of their parents or instructure. This is a significant effect in the society especially in medical fields such as nurses and doctors, may can cause over polluted of patient because of lack employess.
In conclusion, I frimly believed that it is crucial to a various student study in science so that they can expore more in individual health and to take care of the patient also if there is no one serve in society there are more individual encountered sick.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both causes and effects, identifying financial barriers, students’ preference for less challenging courses, and a possible shortage of medical workers. The examples of scholarships and healthcare staff are relevant to the question. However, the response only partially develops these points: the claim that students choose tourism because they are focused on technological advancement is unclear, and the effect on society is mainly limited to healthcare. The phrase “over polluted of patient” also makes the intended consequence difficult to understand. Your conclusion restates the importance of science study but does not clearly summarise the causes and effects. Explain each cause more precisely and develop a wider or clearer societal consequence, such as slower medical research or reduced innovation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help show the intended stages. However, progression within paragraphs is not consistently clear. The first body paragraph moves from tuition costs to course preferences, then to a government scholarship proposal, without clearly separating causes from solutions. The second begins with another cause but shifts abruptly to an effect. Some links are repetitive or awkward, particularly the repeated “this is because” constructions, and references such as “this” do not always make the connection clear. Organise the causes together and the effects separately, and use linking phrases to show the relationship between each idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “tuition fee,” “scholarship,” “medical fields,” and “challenging subject,” so the reader can identify the general subject of your response. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations and spelling errors make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “over polluted of patient” does not clearly express the intended effect, while “not compassionate in science” seems to mean that students lack interest. There are also noticeable misspellings such as “finanacial,” “becasue,” “technoligical,” and “oppurtunity.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for causes and consequences, and check spelling and word forms. Prefer precise expressions such as “shortage of healthcare professionals” over unclear wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses with “because,” “so that” and “such as.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty; errors occur frequently enough to make some relationships difficult to understand. For example, “Various countries not enough students to study in science” lacks a complete grammatical structure, and “parents cannot afford that their children study” uses an incorrect clause pattern. There are also problems with articles, agreement and verb forms, as in “a various student study” and “if there is no one serve.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check clause patterns, articles and plural forms before adding more complex ideas.
