Student answer (Band 5.0)

nowdays in many countries not enough students are choosing to study science at universities. The students are facing many unnoticeable problems which is not talked by many of the students

PROBLEMS:-

many students are not choosing science at the universites because science is very practical and hard subject it take time to grab equations theories in the science subjects and most of the students runs away from study and choose the other subjects because students find less difficulty in the other subjects and grab things easily that does'nt mean that the other subjects are easy they are also very tough but not as same as science it is a very complicated subject.

Effect on the society:-

This problem will effect the society having less engineers, astranauts and technicians and many other fields. The future will be more secured for those peoples who are or will be the part of the science field beacuse of rapid growth of technology .

Solution:-

however every problem have a solution this problem is also can be solved

by making the subject more easy and practical and the way of teaching should be also change and it can be more with fun and joy this way of teaching will be more interesting for students rather then the constant lectures. This way will help the students to grab the topics easily without having any doubts certainly also not making pressure on students of homework and assignments because this is a part of very unnoticeable problems which is faced by the studends till now

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify a relevant cause—that science is perceived as difficult and demanding—and mention possible social effects, including fewer engineers, astronauts and technicians. However, the response only partially develops the task: the effects are stated briefly, and the claim that the future will be “more secured” for people in science is unclear and does not explain the wider consequences for society. The final section focuses on solutions, which the question does not ask for, while causes and effects need fuller explanation and examples. The response is also 9 words below the 250-word minimum; the 12 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each requested part with a clear explanation and a relevant example, and use the available space for those points.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic overall shape: it introduces the issue, then uses headings for problems, effects and a solution. This helps readers identify the topics, but the progression is not fully controlled because the solution section takes substantial space despite not being requested, and the effects section is very brief. Connections between ideas are often unclear; for example, “This problem will effect the society having less engineers” does not clearly show how the cause leads to that outcome. Linking phrases such as “because” and “however” are attempted, but some are awkward or do not establish a clear relationship. Organise the response into focused paragraphs for causes and effects, and use explicit links to show how each idea develops.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “equations,” “technology,” “engineers” and “technicians,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “unnoticeable problems,” “grab equations” and “the future will be more secured” are not natural or precise in this context. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “universites,” “astranauts” and “beacuse.” Aim for accurate, conventional academic phrasing and check spelling carefully. For instance, explain that students may find science “challenging” and that society could face a “shortage of qualified specialists,” rather than relying on vague or unusual expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a cause-and-effect explanation beginning “because science is very practical and hard subject.” However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty sentence structures. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in examples such as “it take time,” “most of the students runs away,” and “every problem have a solution.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “science is very practical and hard subject” and the long final sentence, which contains several ideas without clear punctuation. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and shorter, clearly punctuated sentences before adding more complex clauses.
