Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is a growing concern in many countries not many students are choosing to study science at universities.
Overall, many of students wants to locate as many as jobs opportunities, which is rather hard in science fields. Consequently, most of the students, nowadays will enroll themselves in technology based fields as it is growing and making a lot of new job opportunities. Given that, we are so behind in science related research programs as our ancestors were more keen towards it.
In my perception, there is a growing trend in students that are more likely want to earn a healthy living would enroll themselves in alot of various fields such as business, computing, medical, engineering etc, these subjects are more likely to produce more jobs which results in more interest in these fields.
Furthermore, given my experience as a student i got more encouraged towards money-making fields, given that fact i enrolled myself in business subject for my own betterment, students in business field tend to earn more, they can secure theselves a job and fulfill their desire as compared to science related students.
On other hand, our ancestors were more interested in science related fields because of their passion they tend to enroll in science related field out of curiosity, Helping new generation evolve through various kind of hardships we face still today.
In conclusion, generally every student has a dream about getting rich as fast as he can given that reason alot of individuals would enroll in various other fields with better outcome, keeping that in mind that we would lost our survivabillity against nature as most of the youngster is getting way from science and it advantages to the society

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both causes and effects, and your main explanation—that students choose fields they believe offer better employment and income—is relevant. The personal example of choosing business helps illustrate this cause. However, the effects on society are only briefly and unclearly developed. The reference to being “behind in science related research programs” suggests one consequence, while “lost our survivability against nature” is difficult to interpret and is not explained with a concrete example. The comparison with ancestors also does not clearly establish how society is affected today. To strengthen the response, state the social consequences directly, such as slower medical or environmental innovation, and explain how reduced research would affect people.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, several body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can identify the general topic in each section. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the second and third paragraphs both repeat the idea that students prefer better-paid fields, while the effects of fewer science students are not given a distinct, developed paragraph. Linking phrases such as “Given that,” “Furthermore” and “On other hand” are used, but some connections are unclear or mechanical. For example, the sentence about ancestors and “Helping new generation evolve” does not connect smoothly to the preceding point. Organise the essay around one paragraph on causes and another on societal effects, and use clear references to show how each idea follows.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “job opportunities,” “science related research programs,” “curiosity” and “technology based fields,” so the central meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “locate as many as jobs opportunities,” “healthy living” where you mean financial security, and “lost our survivabillity against nature.” There are also spelling and form errors such as “alot,” “theselves” and “survivabillity.” Aim for precise collocations and avoid repeating “fields” and “students”; for instance, use “career prospects,” “financial security” and “scientific research” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as,” but complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. Agreement and verb-form errors occur in “many of students wants” and “most of the youngster is getting,” while “students that are more likely want” has an incomplete grammatical pattern. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “On other hand” lacks an article, and the opening comma splice joins two independent clauses. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly in “i” and the comma before “Helping.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to understand. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement.
