Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify a relevant effect: a shortage of science graduates could weaken technology-related work and hinder national development. You also mention consequences for society, such as disruption to communication, education and electricity. However, the task asks for causes as well as effects, and causes are barely addressed. The opening mainly states that science is important, rather than explaining why students avoid studying it; the response therefore answers the question only minimally. Several effects are repeated in broad terms, such as damage to “country development,” without a specific example or explanation of how the shortage produces them. To strengthen the response, explain plausible causes—such as difficult coursework, limited career awareness or better-paid alternatives—and develop each effect with a clear example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has separate paragraphs and a recognisable beginning, development and conclusion. Its ideas generally remain connected to science education and its possible consequences, and phrases such as “When” and “Thats why” attempt to link points. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the causes-and-effects structure is not clearly established, and several points repeat the same claim about national growth. Some sentences are joined in ways that obscure the relationship between ideas, particularly the opening sentence and “When the people are may not have in the work area the its damage our country development.” Use one paragraph to explain causes and another to explain effects, with each paragraph organised around a distinct point. Clear topic sentences and more precise links would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a basic set of relevant terms, including “science and technology,” “shortage of employees,” “communication” and “development,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise, which sometimes strains understanding. For example, “the science is one kind of magic” does not explain a cause or effect, while “the people are more crazy” is unclear in this context. There are also inaccurate word forms and collocations, such as “inhance the countys future” and “the science are use.” Build a more precise range for discussing education and employment, and check spelling and natural word combinations. Replacing vague claims with terms such as “qualified graduates” or “career prospects” would help express the argument more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using links such as “because,” “when” and “without,” showing some effort to vary sentence structure. However, control is weak: errors are frequent and at times distort the intended meaning. Examples include “The enough students are not choosing,” “it is a affect,” and “the science and technology are use,” which show problems with sentence formation, articles, agreement and verb forms. The sentence beginning “When the people are may not have” is especially difficult to interpret. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, as several ideas run together. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time and check verb forms and agreement.
