Student answer (Band 5.0)

This assertion that many students are not like to study science at university today around the world. mainly today there are many options for students to make a better future, while in my opinion this could creates some problems country growth.

Admitted, today students have access in many options instead only science because people like to learn about social media technology. mainly too much use of social media today, and adult study on any particular field just to make better lifestyle, Conversely science is just consisider too difficult subject and time taking and very expensive therefore adult search easy and cost-less study.

On the other hand, if students are not willing to study science more this creates problems such as low litercy rate, less search access, defense, sciencists. and country might not presend itself as a good country with science in international forum. also, this change make concerds as disconnected with searching compitations, such as space, earth and environmental research. Furthermore, country would be needed to take help with other country scientists which might take your segrets and make concerd.

In the conclusion, science is definately very important for a country, if students not willing to study on science this might make problems for next genration and country growth, so government and university sould to make a system to attract young students in science study and search which keep country and genration save.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both causes and effects, and your position that science is important to national development is clear in the conclusion. Causes include the appeal of other fields and the perception that science is difficult, time-consuming and expensive; effects include weaker research and reliance on foreign scientists. However, these points are only partly developed, and some claims are unclear or inaccurate—for example, “low literacy rate” is not clearly explained as an effect of fewer science students. The response also does not meet the required minimum of 250 words, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain each cause and effect with a clear link and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on effects, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Furthermore,” and “In the conclusion” help signal movement between sections. However, progression within paragraphs is not always clear: the discussion shifts from social media to lifestyle and then to the cost of science without showing how these points connect. Some ideas are presented as lists, such as “low literacy rate, less search access, defense, sciencists,” and the relationship between them is difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences, group related points, and explain each link. More precise referencing would also help readers understand what “this change” refers to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “international forum,” “environmental research,” and “attract young students,” and you communicate the general subject of the essay. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “less search access,” “searching compitations,” and “make concerd”; these do not express the intended ideas clearly. There are also repeated general terms such as “problems,” “country,” and “students.” Build a more precise set of topic-related expressions and check spelling and collocations. For instance, use established terms such as “research capacity,” “scientific competition,” and “national development” where they fit your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if students are not willing to study science more this creates problems.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence construction and verb forms frequently make the message harder to understand. The opening, “This assertion that many students are not like to study science,” is not a complete, well-formed sentence; “this could creates” also uses an incorrect verb form. Other examples include “this change make” and “government and university sould to make,” where agreement and verb patterns are faulty. Sentence boundaries and capitalization are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each verb against its subject.
