Student answer (Band 5.5)

In today's rapidly growing world, many young students in different universities are prefering other topics to study incomparison of science field. I firmly believe that main reason of this is,the interest of individuals in different fields and difficulties of technical subjects. Although, there should be a balance between both the fields, as both are important in their own ways.

To commence with the first point of view, the interest of students in different areas. As we know that, every youngster wants to do creative things in their lives. They believe that they will become more successful in their field of interest. The other worth mentioning point is that, the technical subjects in science field are very hard to understand. Every learner does not have an ability to understand those big science topics in their graduation.

On other hand, the number of student are decreasing every year in technical courses. This creates a huge gap between the technical knowledge and the new generation. The students are not familiar with the new inventions and how the technology is made. Inventions in countries are also reduced because of less enrollment in science subjects. For instance, the research show that in recent time number of users are rose sharply whereas, the providers are left very few in number.

In conclusion, I firmly maintain that, the enrollment of students in science feild is very important to balance out the every situation. To addressthis problem, the universities should make some subject complustry for every student, so they have some knowledge about the science.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both causes and effects, and your position that science study is important is clear in the introduction and conclusion. The causes—students’ interests in other fields and the perceived difficulty of technical subjects—are relevant, but they are explained briefly and remain general. The effects paragraph identifies a possible shortage of technical knowledge and fewer inventions, yet the link between fewer science students and these outcomes needs clearer explanation. The example about users increasing while providers are few is relevant in principle, but it is vague and unsupported. To strengthen the response, develop each cause and effect with a specific explanation or example, and make the conclusion answer the social-impact question more directly rather than shifting mainly to a proposed university policy.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and effects, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. Linking phrases such as “To commence with” and “On other hand” signal the paragraph roles, although some transitions feel mechanical or are not used accurately. Within the causes paragraph, the ideas about creativity, success, and difficulty are related, but their connection could be made more explicit. The effects paragraph moves from a skills gap to reduced inventions and then to the user/provider example without fully showing how each point follows. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to its claim; also ensure references such as “both the fields” have an unmistakable meaning.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “technical subjects,” “new inventions,” “enrollment,” and “research,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the intended meaning less clear. For example, “incomparison of science field” and “providers are left very few in number” are not natural ways to express the comparison or shortage you mean. There are also spelling and form errors such as “feild” and “complustry.” Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise terms for the consequences—such as a shortage of skilled researchers or slower technological development—would also help you explain the social effects.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “Although” and a reason introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “students … are prefering,” “the number of student are decreasing,” and “the research show.” The opening sentence also has an unclear comparison structure, while “Although, there should be a balance…” is not correctly connected to a main clause. Punctuation and spacing around commas and full stops are uneven. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns first, then use subordinate clauses only when their relationship to the main clause is clear.
