Student answer (Band 5.0)

in some countries , many students preffer to not study science at univerity . because the majority of them now choose their dreams to study art or politics rather than studying major that it is hard and probably do not like . also they see that technology and ai will play the mean role in those fiels more than any human , thinking that it will not leads them any where in the future . this can behavior might hinders the development of many future researchs such as the medical field , leading the society to suffer , when it came to providing the enough health care for individuals .

overall, recently it is remarkable that many university students , are taking the risk and pursuing of their dearm majore by adopting the mindset of studiying majors they love and find easy to them , can help them to reach their futur dream career of and provide them with the recaution , more than learning subjucts they fing boring and can not put their full effort in them , which can cost them a lot in the future . for example art and politic courses , are receiving a huge number of students year by year , due to many of them enjoy history of art and painting , while others want to be proffessional politicians . rather than studing IT or medicine becaus it can be hard and not suitable for their future career .

olso other reason ,that many science fields now are almost fully automated , which in the future , facilities might need only few experst in labs , while the half of the work will be done by ai and sophisticated tools . leaving thise student with few career obtions in the future.

such behavior , can affect countries and whole societies in bad way , because science field need a lot of reaserches to creat and improve many sectors even with the exictens of technology . for example the medical field , is one of the sensitive fields that need to be developed year by year to provide individuals with the right health care and try to study the disease . but with the massive reluctance to other majors that not related to science , many researches will be delated , the contributing to the developent of new medicines will be stoped . which lead the rise of their prices and the spread of other unknwon illneses , leaving the the ordinary citizen to fighte alone with few options .

in conclusion . student now are taking more risk to choose their suitbale majors rather than choosing scientefic subjects in universities . becaus they beliebe it will benefets them more in their future careees and give them the financial comfortability . olso they think that science fields are now much supported with technolgy and ai , which human now will play a small role in them compared to the past . while this behavior is trend , society and countries will be affected in bad way , becaus many researches will be hinders , making people suffer more especially in the medical fields .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both causes and effects, and the medical-research consequences are relevant: you explain that fewer science students could delay research and limit the development of medicines. However, the response only partially develops the task. The causes are presented as students preferring subjects they enjoy, believing science is difficult, and fearing AI will reduce future opportunities, but these points are not clearly distinguished or supported with specific examples. The claim that science careers will offer “few career options” also sits uneasily beside the later concern about a shortage of researchers. Your position is broadly understandable, but the conclusion mainly repeats earlier points. Develop each cause and effect more clearly and explain how it affects society beyond healthcare.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response moves from possible causes to effects and ends with a conclusion, and examples about medicine help signal the topic. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, so the reader has to work to connect ideas. The second paragraph begins “overall” but then introduces student preferences and examples, while the AI explanation appears later as a separate point. Linking phrases such as “also,” “while,” and “for example” are repeated or do not always show the relationship accurately. Some sentences run together, and references such as “this behavior” and “those fields” are not always precise. Use one paragraph for causes and another for effects, with clear topic sentences and more accurate links between each claim and its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “automated,” “sophisticated tools,” “research,” and “health care,” and you communicate the main subject despite frequent spelling and word-choice problems. However, the range is limited and several errors make the reader pause or infer your meaning: “recaution” appears to mean preparation or qualifications, “reluctance to other majors” does not express the intended idea clearly, and “the rise of their prices” has an unclear reference. Many words are misspelled, including “univerity,” “researchs,” and “illneses,” which reduces accuracy and can cause difficulty. Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling, word forms, and collocations; choose precise phrases such as “declining enrolment in science” and “a shortage of qualified researchers.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You try to express complex relationships using clauses and connectors, for example, “which in the future…” and “because science field need…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “many students preffer to not study,” “it will not leads them,” and “this behavior might hinders,” where verb forms do not agree with the subject or auxiliary. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “science field need” and “the disease,” and punctuation often joins separate ideas with commas or full stops in awkward places. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, verb patterns after auxiliaries, articles, and sentence boundaries during editing.
